Sadly he couldn't get his office in order. What amazes me is at the start of the 2024 there were rumours of the Brisbane lions having extra activities outside their household. That didn't phase the team and they went on to win the 2024 and 2025 flag. If we were faced with the same challenges, it would have divided the club. As for us, we imploded this year along with the contract issues at the best time of the year, the eve of finals.

Mate, you are ignoring what my point.

Pies need to match or reduce the gap offensively with Lions to stand a chance.

Pies scoring 100 points against a bad team because that bad team is easy to rebound from is not the same as matching up with Lions, who are very very potent attack wise.

I have mentioned how the pies do not score highly in finals games against the best opposition and got shot down for my opinion in previous posts.
The best pressure you can apply is on the score board. I have seen us dominate quarters (possession wise) in games and still not put teams away because we failed to capitalise.

Some copium … In 2011 you’d never have guessed a team with Swan, Pendles, Thomas, Sidebottom, Beams, Reid, Brown, Cloke, Heater, Didak, Ball, Jolly, Wellingham, Maxwell, Toovs, Neon, O’Brien and co would never win another flag despite adding Tarrant and Krack in the off-season.

Brisbane might also have an unforeseen fall-off. Who knows. All we can hope is Fly and co continue to improve the team and get Nick some help.

I really could not be believe their lack of fight today - it’s clear that only Danger has the leadership and G&D to pull them out of the fire. And today he was invisible.
Apart from both the aging Danger and Stewart they have no leaders.
Of course their massive HGA will give them a walk up start to finals again - but they’ll be making up the numbers.

I’d like to see Zorko take a swing and a miss at Danger and instead take out Rayner, breaking his hand in the process, whilst Danger in the act of ducking under the fist, flies headfirst into Smith and takes them both out!
