I know it's pretty doom and gloom around these parts (understandably so)

but I honestly think this is salvageable, we have every chance in the world to win our next 4 (yes I know nothing is guaranteed with this team) and then we'd be 8-7, we'd also be pretty close to having Newman back by then too I reckon.

Games against * are always important, this one? The most important in my opinion in recent memory.

I know he hasn't played for us yet, but Flynns form in the VFL imo can net him a selection for this game, I'd love see it.

Gimme Billy, gimme Flynn, gimme pace and gimme a 4 quarter effort!

It’s the games after the first 3 proceeding the bye that I’m more interested in and how we perform. No longer being seduced by playing and beating the bottom sides.
Obviously we take it week by week and need to beat what’s in front of us first and foremost tho

I figure Cottrell won't come up for this one, and Cincotta and Boyd won't be ready for AFL, though the latter two are clearly depth players right now. Williams might be touch and go.

The Wilson and Flynn Young picks are a bit speculative by me, but even the statisticians are telling us to add in quick blokes who can kick well. Lord is the one who suffers if that all goes through, but we need to get quicker on the outside, and that's where the coaches keep playing him mostly right now.

So we use Young, Fogarty, Fantasia (who was absolutely flying in the VFL), White, Wilson and Williams to supplement Walsh regularly rotating into the thick of the contest, and also buy him some space by dragging players outside to cover.

Motlop needs a spell, so give him 3 quarters off after the bye and then reassess.
