I wonder if Collingwood are potentially seeing this as the future forward line lineup.

Oscar steene as future ruck post Cameron
West and mcarthy as our two key forwards.
Buller as the third forward/backup ruck.

Howes as a backup.

Will probably require about 2-3 years before they all start hitting their strides.

I don't know anything about Butters. I've always read he will go to the bulldogs. That aside, I don't see why we would talk to Humphrey if we were not open to trading futures. Would be a waste of time.

Would it be fair to assume the saints are potentially getting 2-3 wins from all the free agent signings and trades combined this year?

That will only take them to 12 wins maybe 13 wins, still below the 14 required in the 23 game era.

They still lack enough game winners outside of NWM to catapult them into the 5-8 slot.

I don't think they've got a good enough midfield to compete for the premiership and they're still reliant on King to make finals. They do have game winners though with Higgins, TDK, Sinclair Flanders (if he comes) outside of NWM. I think they will be one of 6 or so teams fighting for bottom of the 8. They do have a bunch of young players who could take the step though and it's another story.

From what I've seen Humphreys is an exceptional talent and looks ready to explode. Would happily trade a future 1st and a player to get him if it's on the table. Much better than the usual keep our powder dry for "insert player X" next season calls, that have never once materialised the next season.

So if Mihocek is the only change to our forward line, that means we need to replace essentially 36 goals from him based on 2025 output.

I don't think that with the inclusion of Buller, more games from Bobby + West and the return of Harrison that this is such a big hole to fill.

I agree. The two kids they took last year look very, very good. NWM is a top 3-5 player in the league. TDK is a gun also. The big if is King. If they can get him going then who knows.

They play a really nice style of footy now too. I have enjoyed watching them this year.
