Need to ice him just like Starcevich for a couple of months, then see how we go.
Very disappointing for Smith. We aren’t having much luck with repeat concussions in recent times (Ah Chee a couple of years back, Adams, Starce, Smith, Clarke going back a bit and I’m sure there’s others).

Day will play this week given he was a bit better this week, and the fact St Kilda don’t play two genuine rucks.

Yes really upset for the kid. Worked hard for four years to develop his game, is just about there and then this happens.

Not sure on the Day question After watching Fort yesterday, I think he gives us more mobility and the potential to really stretch the saints.( like the pies did to us) But Fages will stick with Day.

Day will play. The club has invested time & resources into him for a specific purpose and they will persist with him until they are convinced one way or another. Dropping him to play VFL has no benefits if they still believe in him.

“Dropping him to play VFL has no benefits if they still believe in him.” Not sure this is true. Traditionally one of the strategies for helping players not in form is giving them a run in the second. Both Doedee and Gardiner are both playing seconds. I don’t think this is because the club doesn’t believe in them.

It's pretty clearly because they believe in the people in the team more? Doedee a bit different because he's only just back, but Lester has solidified a spot and dizzy isn't a good option up forward.

Rumour has it old man Fagan is looking for a reason to drop Froggy since he's stopped mowing his lawn.

He still needs to work on his overall production, both in terms of finding more of the footy and running harder defensively, but when he has some time and space, Torrent’s ball use is crisp. If he can improve his endurance to find some more uncontested footy he could carve out a career with his clean skills.

They’re playing one short in the VFL, so suspect something unplanned has gone down.
Could also just be logistics. Games probably will overlap and Moorabbin is still at least 30 minutes drive to the MCG. Time will tell.
