He had 19 handballs though.
Did he still play wing as that's an unusual high number for a wing but not for a midfield role?

It's unfortunate for Beecken, but we'd be silly not to play Dizzy in the 22 when we're going up against Darcy and Naughton. I wouldn't mind Beecken being the sub, though Bruce is a worthy candidate too.

absolute no brainer this week

but interesting to note we went short against the cats and blues (albeit with gardiner as sub) so was wondering what we would do in that same scenario

Neither of those teams had a genuine second tall forward. They used Pittonet and Neale, neither of whom are that great up forward, though Pittonet did kick a couple. We also went short against Port, a team that does have two genuine tall forwards, and we gave up 7 goals combined to Georgiades and Lukosius. I really hope we don't go small.

Also, Ethan Phillips for Carlton, good golly. 26 disposals, 18 intercepts, 5 contested marks, 7 rebound 50s, 89% disposal efficiency. This man needs to be back on an AFL list again.

i thought we looked so dynamic down back v cats, like the hawks' backline last year

we are never normally horses for courses team but i can live in hope!
