I didn't see a thread for this so, I made it.

Tadej Pogačar unlikely to ride according to reports, It's a big opportunity for Jonas Vingegaard to win it.

I am hearing Almeida-Ayuso will be co-leaders UAE.

One of the weaker Vuelta parcourse's in a while. Jonas the obvious favourite if Tadej skips but interested to see how Bora attacks it.

I don't think this favours Jonas much, however he should dominate the few higher mountain stages & drop the whole peloton & get big time-gaps to win. No doubt Kuss will be there to help him with it and return the favour.

Jonas's to lose you'd think

he is very very short odds.

The podium will be interesting (cough Daka poll time cough). I think Hindley (a little biased here) is probably the best of the rest ahead of Almeida, Ayuso, Bernal, Carapaz and Geoghegan Hart.

Ayuso is undoubtedly aiming for a win

I gave a few more darkhorses and maybe some funny choices with like Quintana lol

11 uphill finishes. Visma would have to be very bad as a team for Vingegaard not to win this.
Stranger things have happened. one thing that worries me about Visma is they bringing a few riders that did the Tour support Vinge, Kuss, Jorgenson & Campernaerts. will they fatigue is the question? I pretty confident in saying Vingegaard won't but his support might.

UAE looks pretty fresh.

Jay Vine didn't do the Tour, won the mountains classification last year.

Somebody always gets minutes by getting in a good break in this race as it's normally too hot and a lot of roads that make it hard to control the gap. There is also people riding for a contract so for some there is a lot at stake. I suspect Ayuso will be fending for himself.

Yeah that's a surprise. I thought Zana might get in

No surprise. O'Connor was always slated to do the Vuelta and Zana wil be there.

dont see it - think Visma will shit it in.

Something pretty awful would need to happen for JV not to win it

Agreed he is most certainly favourite and I hope he wins personally, it's clear he has been the best GC rider behind Pogacar his worst finish is 2nd in his whole career in Grand Tours, I'm not counting his debut when he was riding for Roglic.

But that's why I said Stranger things have happened bad luck mechnical/crash they all possibilities across 3 weeks.

Jayco team:

O'Connor
Bouwman
Dunbar
Foldager
Gamper
Harper
Juul-Jensen
O'Brien

Disappointed that Hatherly couldn't get a Grand Tour debut. Wonder if Kell gets free reign to try for himself on flat stages without any real sprinter or if it's all in on BOC podium between Bouwman, Dunbar and Harper
