As we see nearly halfway through season now (how fast has it gone), let’s look ahead to the 2026 cellar dwellers and what it means this year.

Essendon have won ONE game. One game. To make my self clear ONE GAME! Bombers fans are you hoping for a spoon? A new coach? Some wins to show the group is improving? Good Lord they may need a messiah younger than Sheedy. Heard anything lately?

Richmond have been nearly as disappointing. Given the current injury list Punt Rd has now been renamed to Dyer Grog Squad and Richmond Rehabilitation Centre. 2 wins ya goons still doesn’t cut it!

West Coast carried the weight of zero expectation this year and three wins. If they can win another 3 or 4 games I think most Eagles would take it and be happy to see improvement. Might even see some big nights in Northbridge with the mates & cousins.

Carlton; we know you’re coming. Put it away and behave yourselves on your podcasts. A good shower shooting blanks. Hoping for finals but chances are bleaker than marrying Taylor Swift (she has plenty of money and can afford the paper bags also.
