First thing to discuss, the vendor behind AFL Fantasy collapsing

Most of the Melbourne team responsible for AFL Fantasy (and other AFL fantasy products) has just been told they will be made redundant over the next few days. Most of the Dev work will be moved off shore or now done by AI.

Weird that only the other week Warnie was posting a job advert for a product position within Telstra/Genius sports on AFL Fantasy.

The main surprise is it took this long to sack the campaigners that make this horrible app.

Never even bothered with the app, desktop is the only way.

You can still edit your team name 2 weeks in. Is it gonna be this way the whole season, or will it get locked at some arbitrary point in the future

Anyone know how they are calculating team value ?

According to this my team value should be $20,514,000


But when I go to rankings, it shows my team value as much lower


Is this just a bug they havent figured out yet?
I suspect there are some teams (or second teams) playing for the team value prize, so I'm sure they would want to know how its being calculated.

It just shows last week's team value, and excludes remaining salary. Kind of pointless really because its just outdated info, hard to assess how well your previous round was value-wise.

So is that what they are basing the prize money on, or is there a secret metric they are using for that, which nobody will have visibility of ?

I think it's broken and they haven't realised yet
