Bevo dropping truth bombs on the media. Now they will come for him.

I ****ing love that.
In the NRL coaches say what they are thinking. Captains get to challenge refs decisions, but the in AFL dictatorship, you can’t even speak up against anything, without getting fined.

It reminds me of a certain administration abroad, deny, lie, deny, lie, deny, everything is perfect, move along…..

**** the AFL.
**** the Victorian big clubs bias.
**** the umpires.
**** the Zero round unfairness.
**** four 6 day turnaround’s in a row.
Despite all that we’re still second on the ladder. 🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕

Over the past few seasons I'm seeing the achievable trade cadence as three down two up over two weeks.

Not enough $$ to do one up one down every week unless it's a high priced rookie or mid-pricer, or a very cheap premo.

Walshy_The_Goat thoughts?

Don't mind the tactic if those rookies you're trading down to are must have cash cows with supreme job security and scoring potential with the likely outcome they make $100k+

It's much less of a risk doing it early in the season and before the midway point when the rookies are likely on the cusp of or in the Best 23. If it's later in the season the chances are higher they are merely in as injury/suspension cover and not likely to maintain their spot and thus halt their cash gen.

Once boosts are exhausted, the key for me tactically is trying to go a downgrade and upgrade by having at least $200k in the bank to roll into next week for another upgrade. But this isn't always achievable, as you mentioned, depending on the premo pricepoint and the pricepoint of the rookie you are upgrading.

It works easier with the likes of a Jagga, Duursma etc. who are around the $300-400k mark as that stepping stone, with a much smaller gap to bridge to a fallen $550-$600k premo. So essentially, as per the above, I would be using the $200k to go a Duursma to a Trac (for example), and then downgrading a $300-350k to a $119k rookie to then roll that $200-250k for the next week's upgrade.

It sounds easier in theory and by no means isn't. But timing of cashing out on rookies and jumping on fallen premos is key to trade cadence, and it isn't always achieveable. Because of this I rarely try to grab a premo full price, only when at a fallen pricepoint (Callaghan, McCluggage etc.)

Anyway, that is my own tactic.

No need to waste any time over this BUT.........does anyone have an opinion why all the Commentators that I've listened to, continue to call it "centre bounce" when it's been "centre ball up" for the last 10 Rounds ...

OK off to have a beer while contemplating the meaning of life.

Aah the good old days when we ONLY HAD 20 TRADES and 2 Ruck emergencies!!!

2012: Key forwards were all the rage

20 trades. No looping as it locked out once the first game started.
Ah the good old days where skills where truly tested.
Was there also no reversing trades during the week too? I.e. once you'd done your trades Sunday night that was it?

Yep no reversing.

Would often be stupid and do a trade on Sunday night after lock out just for teams to be released on a Thursday night and be bitten on the bum 😂

No boosts either.
