Josh Drummond was one I had high hopes for but was always bloody getting injured

Agree would always tease with a couple of big 100’s but could never stay on the park for long enough.

Brent Harvey was always good value for a little campaigner

Love how you younger (I asssume) blokes can remember stuff from 20+ yrs ago.......I can't even remember what I had for dinner last night.......but the kicker is, I can remember stuff from my schooldays back in the 50's.

Not long now folks (completed teams).

What’s the consensus on how much your flex has to average for your team to be “complete”?
I've got 7 forwards now. Bailey @ 93 my lowest.
2 more needed for my 23.

In a perfect world it’s equivalent to M9 or R3 so that’s about 110

I’d say you’d want 100
Yeah. I have Bruhn (ave 83) and Coleman (ave 78) but I'll probably get rid of both at some point in the byes.

But theoretically speaking, Bruhn is an acceptable flex, I only need two more upgrades for 23 too.

I think ideally you have either Gawn, Grundy, Xerri or Jackson in flex.

In a perfect world you end up with 3 of the big 4.
I already do, and I really wish I didn't lol

Due to flexibility?
Mainly because Xerri's role/TOG is horrid, and everyone who isn't already locked into a flex gets an absolute layup with a solo-rucking Cameron at $410k this week. That, and I really couldn't afford the $680k I spent on Xerri regardless, so will regret it even if he does magically get his former role back.
Because at the mere sight of Xerri's name, Scythe is filled with uncontrollable passions.
Also this

The same Xerri that has the 2nd highest average in the whole comp?

Couldn’t be.
The same Xerri that has played less than 70% TOG for three consecutive rounds and has lost his CBAs.

Get back to me later in the season and see if he still has the second highest average lol. Not a chance

I wouldn’t be worried about having Xerri he will be fine.

I already have Grundy, Gawn, Jackson and wish there was a way I could also have Xerri.

Probably just managing the big man.

I bet he’s back to his usual role in no time.

They're not managing him. He was ranked 55th(!) in the AFL for hitout win% prior to last week, so they're using Trembath and Dawson in the middle more for a different look for their mids, given CBAs are Xerri's main weakness. Given how well it worked in the second half on the weekend, there's no way they don't continue with it for a while.

I think if it was just a case of selecting a ruck who gives us the best hitout win% at CBAs, we'd have Trembath at most centre bounces. North had enough of a sample size to justify that move on that basis more than a month ago.

But I think there are enough signs to suggest Clarko et al are reluctant to do that for whatever reason.

I assume its been some mix of
  • Trembath's only 20;
  • he's had barely a year in fulltime AFL environment to build strength required for fulltime rucking;
  • a belief in the club his priority should be focusing on developing his forward craft;
  • an uncertainty about the practicality of how to switch X as a starting CHF and Trembath as a starting ruck in gameplay ASAP after the centre bounce.

Nevertheless, the hitouts are remaining kinda stable for now.

(I say all this as someone who does not have X in SC)
