I'm giving him R13(Freo) and 14 to see which way Clarko goes.......then it's decision time.... X or Jacko.

Weekend Wrap and "Liked, Learned, Hated" right here -- How did tipping go?
Valid points; however, the concern is not just the hitouts, it's the significantly lower TOG given that Xerri isn't really effective in any position outside of the ruck. He's not like a Gawn type that can still get involved in transition, take a bunch of contested marks/intercepts and kick the odd goal. Xerri's a stoppage animal who relies on contested possessions and tackles to score (and impact games). If he's not taking as many CBAs, his stoppage/TOG rates will continue to decline, there's no real way around that. He's not suddenly going to become an effective marking target forward of the ball.I think if it was just a case of selecting a ruck who gives us the best hitout win% at CBAs, we'd have Trembath at most centre bounces. North had enough of a sample size to justify that move on that basis more than a month ago.
But I think there are enough signs to suggest Clarko et al are reluctant to do that for whatever reason.
I assume its been some mix of
- Trembath's only 20;
- he's had barely a year in fulltime AFL environment to build strength required for fulltime rucking;
- a belief in the club his priority should be focusing on developing his forward craft;
- an uncertainty about the practicality of how to switch X as a starting CHF and Trembath as a starting ruck in gameplay ASAP after the centre bounce.
Nevertheless, the hitouts are remaining kinda stable for now.

(I say all this as someone who does not have X in SC)
West Adelaide
West AdelaideIMO we'll see against FREO if the CBA changes of the last few games is a trend ...or an eventValid points; however, the concern is not just the hitouts, it's the significantly lower TOG given that Xerri isn't really effective in any position outside of the ruck. Anyway, I'm probably stuck with him now and it all becomes a moot point (for me), but I certainly wouldn't be trading into him if I didn't already have him. Way too much uncertainty for that price tag.

Tom Rockliff looking into it.I think the Tassie team is destined to fail.
Too many teams in the comp already, just diluting the talent pool even more.
How many sides are the AFL going to continue propping up in their delusional fantasy of taking over the sporting landscape in Australia?
And the world. When are we going back to china?![]()
