Kappa once again demonstrating a fundamental ignorance of the ethos of conservative management and surgery as a last resort.
All I care about is that McCreery be available and fit for a lot more games next year than this year. He is one of the precious under 30 players we will depend on for a modicum of success next year.

lol. Players have to agree to surgery, I doubt many are desperate to have surgery before a big expensive overseas holiday that’s already planned and paid for. I know common sense is hard for you to grasp

I don't blame him, I would have had my holiday first. Players should be entitled to have a break, I think they have to anyway

I don’t disagree. I’m just pointing out there’s another reason some players don’t have surgery till their back from their break.

If I had a 20k holiday with my mates already planned I’d delay surgery too

Yeah, there could be multiple reasons. It's not ideal to have Beau start a bit later but it's a long hard season. I reckon spending your holidays in rehab would be pretty shit. I reckon he had that holiday booked as you said. Hopefully Beau can break his own weights record while he can't run

The one who was right all along about Nathan Murphy while everyone having shots at me was wrong? That one? Oh we don’t talk about that…
What were you right about Kap?

Only 2 players who arent in pre xmas training is McCreery and McStay.

Rest looking going back to training next week.

Harrison Reef ACL have all finished their rehabs.

AJ has 2 weeks to go.

Xmas training is on for 2 or 3 weeks.

Wind things up say 6 days before xmas.

Start up again 2026 in week 2 in jan.

Sucks regarding Beau. Foot problems can last a long time.

Reef could be a walk up start come Opening Round.

hopefully reef is ready from his ACL. He's progressing well

Hmmm, that news about Moore and McCreery is very disappointing.

So many injured players and many of them repeat offenders. Rarely do players miss large chunks of pre-season and then go injury-free and perform strongly in the season proper.

Add to that one of the toughest fixtures in the competition and a very inexperienced key forward combo. Yikes!

I think we should lower our expectations for this season and simply enjoy watching the Pendlebury farewell tour and seeing some newer faces trying to prove their worth.

Gee, having to play FB or CHB is a huge ask from a player returning from an ACL. Especially a player who hadn't exactly established himself in a Best 23 key defensive role prior to injury. We may have to roll the dice and debut Smit if Reef is deemed not quite ready.

At least against St Kilda, we won't have to worry too much about their key forwards, especially with King unlikely to be right to go in opening round. But after that, it could quickly get pretty ugly.
