Let’s see how long the 9 games last as knowing the AFL they will give us 4:40pm or 1:10pm against the GWS,Gold Coast or a Melbourne and you can take that to the bank.
If they did, it would be on us to turn up. Braves seem to make it work against such clubs nowadays

Yes, I'm aware we aren't as good as Braves, but we might as well go in blindly hoping that something will be different from the last six years

Been paying cash for memberships the past few seasons a couple weeks out from the season. No need to pay for something now that'll be used in 6 months for me. Looking forward to another summer of endless emails, txts and calls from bored players asking me to recommit and for my updated CC details.
That makes sense. I do the same thing with the Bulldogs. I don't auto-renew either because Ticketmaster were auto-renewing my membership at my club despite my pleas to my club to STOP my membership auto-renewing for three years in a row. Finally I put my foot down this time last year and cancelled my membership and told the Club's Membership Department in no uncertain terms why I was cancelling. They were extremely apologetic, but I told them that I would re-consider renewing in 2026 conditional upon them allowing me to only pay in cash at the Whitten Oval. I made it clear that I didn't trust them to do the honourable thing anymore to prevent auto-renewal once Ticketmaster had their dirty little hands on my CC information. Believe it or not, I have even heard of some instances where AFL members credit cards had expired and Ticketmaster had paid banks or credit card companies to release updated CC details without the CC holders consent and just auto-renewed from that without any authorisation from the members. If that is true, I am sure that this must cross a legal line somewhere.

The auto-renewal process is okay for those who are a set and forgetters. But even then, auto-renewal should not be implemented until at least one month after the official release of AFL fixture for the next season. This way it gives members of all teams a chance to study the future fixture and work out what best package options will suit them in the forthcoming season. I am sure that many would probably change their packages based upon dates, venues and time slot scheduling from season to season if they knew the fixture in advance of making their package decision. Besides, our membership packages are like a mobile phone plan. We don't sign up to mobile phone plans indefinitely and allow the telco to just keep on charging us the same fixed rate for ever and a day. Smart people review their mobile phone packages at least every 12 months to two years because there are always new and better deals for new members. So why does the AFL and Ticketmaster expect supporters to treat our club membership packages any differently?

Upgraded the membership for 2026. I’m bloody excited. Would I of liked to have seen more done during trade week? Absolutely. But the two most important things which have happened I believe is Barlow in as the midfield coach who I think is going to make a massive difference in bringing a lot more two-way running, and Littlejohn’s acquisition. He seems to be rated highly, very knowledgeable and can bring fresh ideas. Along with that, more experience and another pre-season into the younger players. Join in the chorus!

Omg I’ve been banging on about this behaviour for years on here

Disgraceful behaviour

Totally agree with you

Not bad numbers considering no draw I go out on limb and say if we get around 57k members we have done well.
But at least %85 being General Members and 3 game membership.
Need to get at 15K+ as reserved seat holders can’t afford to have North reserved seats taken up by opposition supporters

They’re simply the Auto renew figures

Unless there was a rush after the signing of Spargo

Member page says there's a wait list for reserve bay L2 members. A good start.

This also happens because North members bring along mates or family members who are opposition supporters and the club cannot stop it.

I get everyone is different and they have the right to do whatever they want with their seats but when I'm bringing someone along who is supporting an opposition club I definitely word them up about being respectful to those around them and not getting under anyone's skin. If it feels like it might get testy we'll just watch from the Prem Club.

l dont have an issue with that as long as they dont wear their teams colours.Lots of supporters go in neutral clothes..That way no one knows who they are supporting and they can enjoy the game...or not, if we win..

When we go we wont even bring family along if they support the other club...but we are perocial North Supporters..;):laughv1:

That’s crap level 2 only gets filled Good Friday and Collingwood need the supporters to get off they arses and attend
Yeah not sure how capacity works - could sell out but actually attending a different thing. The reserve seat L2 is still open, which always has gaps. It'll come with wins. Tbh our membership base is pretty high considering we've been crap for 10 years

Real supporters attend week in week out not when it is the flavour of the month .
I guess we will all see either in Round 1 or 2 at home on a Sunday at 4:45pm if we get people to our 1st Home game in 2026.

Not sure I agree with gate keeping the "real fan" part - anyone willing to part with their hard earned to support at the game or associate with a decade long bottom dwellers at the moment is a real fan. Definitely a special tier for those that turn up every week though - die hard and the backbone of the club.

Realistically there's a lot of factors. Prime time slots are prime time for a reason because they're built to be attended - we don't get those. Sunday 3.20-4.40 is also tough for people and families. We'll always get shit slots unless by some miracle we get 50% more members. So with these limits, attendance probably only really comes from those that could attend, but choose not to because they don't feel like the heartbreak of another 100pt loss. We get better and it'll improve.
