I actually love it. And about those practices -- what we might call 'tics' -- he's actually pretty philosophical. They're not based on superstition he says, otherwise he would change them every time he loses. And they're not about being a creature of routine either as his life changes all the time and he doesn't do the same things in training as during a match. Instead, they are a way of tidying up his inner voices - interrupting that voice that says "I will lose" or the even more dangerous voice that says "I will win".
