The longer version:

A game of Monopoly has ended in bloodshed after an argument ended with one of the players sliced by a samurai sword.

A group in Forest, Belgium were playing the famous board game on the pavement of a residential street around 5am local time when they were confronted by a man over complaints the group were being too loud and had woken his family, according to Brussels-Midi Police.

It's reported that the resident came out of his home and confronted the group with a large wooden stick, and when arguments escalated, the man's son then became involved, bringing a Japanese katana sword to 'defend' his father.

In the scuffle, the son and one of the players were left injured, with son reportedly in hospital with life-threatening injuries after the sword struck one of his arteries.
