the good: this year's Lantern Festival is being held locally, great feasting with in-laws who don't try to entertain or include me
, and a son who can drive us back after much toasting and ganbei-ing.
the bad: supermarket muzak of gong xi being sung over and over on endless loop
the best: the bee hive festival, out in a small town in the county, nightmare getting there and out even on scooter. But the kind of thing you have to go once, especially when you are younger. I did more than 20 years ago
It's gotten much bigger since then.
