My first Halloween dress up was a few decades ago as a young 7/8yr old and run by the local Lions Club - there was a competition for best dressed with the girls to come as witches and boys as wizards type thing

I've still got the stuffed koala thingy I won as the best dressed - it's not really a soft, cuddly toy like a teddy bear, so it's this weird thing. As it was red & white I called it Sydney

And apparently a few of the other parents weren't happy with my win as mum gave me an old school wicker type broom to "ride" on and looked so much better than a stock standard thing
