Amazing that Watson and Gunston together have kicked 8 of Hawthorn's 9 goals.

I can't believe that we lost to Freo. Their team defence is tonight compared with ours against the same team, is pitiful.

When we played Freo, conditions were extremely wet, which I thought at the time would favour us becasue it would slow the game down.

However, I am starting to think that we actually may well soon relish dry conditions just as much, due to the extraordinary resilience and ferocity of our team defence.

Especially as we build the connection between mids and forwards - which , there is no doubt we are starting to do.

If we get that connection going, the sky is the limit for us this year.

Ginnivan is also playing great football and his 100th game comes next week. He is a likeable and highly marketable guy. There is a lot to love there. One that definitely got away and we would love to have now.

Yeah, I never fully understood the reason.
It may have been a question of maturity.
When he was with us, he did get involved in some sh**, and his rebellious, egocentric behaviour cut across the team solidarity and commitment that Fly was so intent on cementing across the board.

I think he has simply grown up, and this is allowing him to unleash the potential that was always there. Sad that we didn't realise that and let him go.

Ginnivan is such an unlikeable knob, but geez some of his kicking is just sublime. Depth and touch can be just perfect. They say Lipinski kicks it well I50, but Ginny has him covered by a margin. I'll be off to have a chunder and wash my mouth out now.
