In all honesty, it's tinfoil hat type stuff you're on about there.
Pretty sure there was a few other things contributing to his score.
I've noticed a cluster of individual scoring moments over time for a player (I can't tell how long, it seems to vary), that will be added together and given to their scores as one chunk.
But when we look in real time, it looks like a crazy score for that last final scoring moment.
I wouldn't mind seeing an explanation from CD/SC for specific timespans/quarters of players that go nuts with scoring.
Sure we joke about "KOTD" but there a system in place that suits his game, and there's simply no conspiracy to get Bont a bigger score.
He dragged them over the line with some exceptional moments late too. That second last goal where he broke through the pack in front of Dawson, dished off to Williams resulting in a goal was huge. He just does things that consistently impact. As a non owner I've been in the boat where I get staggered at what he scores but when you genuinely watch, like properly watch from an analytical lense, you see he earns those points. It's just frustrating to be a non-owner. I've been there. It's not a fun journey.
