In all honesty, it's tinfoil hat type stuff you're on about there.

Pretty sure there was a few other things contributing to his score.
I've noticed a cluster of individual scoring moments over time for a player (I can't tell how long, it seems to vary), that will be added together and given to their scores as one chunk.
But when we look in real time, it looks like a crazy score for that last final scoring moment.

I wouldn't mind seeing an explanation from CD/SC for specific timespans/quarters of players that go nuts with scoring.

Sure we joke about "KOTD" but there a system in place that suits his game, and there's simply no conspiracy to get Bont a bigger score.

He dragged them over the line with some exceptional moments late too. That second last goal where he broke through the pack in front of Dawson, dished off to Williams resulting in a goal was huge. He just does things that consistently impact. As a non owner I've been in the boat where I get staggered at what he scores but when you genuinely watch, like properly watch from an analytical lense, you see he earns those points. It's just frustrating to be a non-owner. I've been there. It's not a fun journey.

I was surprised to see Bont on 141 when I checked the scores although I really shouldn't be with the KOTD treatment he gets.

I guess I will have to lock in his VC score as captain even though there are some other tempting captain options to choose from.

Pretty happy with English and McAndrew too, Jaques was OK for a rookie, Budarick not great, he needs to do better for his price.

Actually asked a bloke at work about that today, coincidentally (oncologist fella)
Apparently CTE link is evidenced very solidly, but there's not much in terms of an established connection re: tumours.
Apparently it is one that continues to be studied, but nothing really conclusive or anything.
Was the first thing I thought of, too, feels like it would and he copped some brutal knocks.

Fwiw, the Bont 18 for the HB.
4.5 for the loose ball get, 1.5 the effective HB and 3 the score assist = 9, cops max scale 2 due to state of game.
Actually gives you pretty much 18 on the nose
Still disgraceful and I curse him, his family and all owners for ever and ever, but actually seems about right(?)

Sure we joke about "KOTD" but there a system in place that suits his game, and there's simply no conspiracy to get Bont a bigger score.

The KOTD comes from what CD consider a long vs short kick, effective vs ineffective, a tackle or not, etc etc.

Some players are definitely judged kindly.

Just have have to trade them in.
