The trading train waits for no one, so with the corpse of the Round 2 Trades thread not even cold yet, it’s time to start thinking about trades for Round 3.

Let’s put some names forward for discussion shall we…

Grundy - 88
Saved his score as it turned out, and you’ll probably have bigger problems by the end of the round than dumping Brodie. Still, two underwhelming scores and hemorrhaging cash. There are worse rage trades you could make.

The entire Hawthorn side -
Fantasy poison for the opposition and can barely score themselves. If you have any of them, trade.

Cook - 48
Hands up if you traded in this ghost? Well trade him straight back out again, I’m positive he doesn’t actually exist.

Budarick - 68
Scored just enough to make cash but not enough that you’d have any temptation to hold him through his bye. Thanks Connor, you’ve done your job, now get lost.

Rachele - 70
Scored fine, but I promise it’s so much nicer not having to see his face when you open the Fantasy app.

Milera - 74
He didn’t get injured, and he didn’t score under 50. Trust me, get rid of him while you can still avoid one of those two things happening.

English - 84
Huh. Maybe all those people who said the rucks would be rubbish this year were right, but IT WASN’T SUPPOSED TO BE THE MOBILE ONES. Loves to strut around doing absolutely nothing does Timmy, then loves to prance off to the interchange bench for a well earned break from all that uselessness. Horrible footballer.

Petracca - 69
Apparently just “awareness”. Do we trust that, and assume he’ll be back for the game against the Dees straight after his bye? Or do we trade in case he’s out for longer? Big call.

Phillipou - 31
You convinced yourself last week’s 30-something score only happened because he was injured didn’t you? Nah, he’s perfectly capable of notching one up when he’s fit as well.

Windhager - 73
A fraud masquerading as a premo. There are rookies scoring more than this that cost almost $700,000 less.

Serong - 64
This is the problem with Caleb. A tagger so much as breathes on him and suddenly he thinks that’s an excuse to have an eighteen point first half. I’m not even exaggerating, look it up.

Windsor - 49
When will we ever learn with picks like this?? We only have about 20 seasons worth of evidence that they don’t work. Dump this guy and never look back.

Rozee - 72
ifc hello darkness my old friend GIF

Blakiston - 44

A pair of utterly useless scores and yet somehow this spud will survive in most sides for a week or two longer courtesy of carnage elsewhere.

Parish - 68
See above.

I think McAndrew is a safe R2 now, so Visentini can go next week no problem, down to ZZ maybe if hes named again or a red dot dpp ruck.
Cant drop Visentini this week because I need him as a red dot to take McAndrew looped

Then a failed mid pricer to a premo off the bye probably

Gallop to someone who doesn't have a floor of 16

And I dunno what else, maybe cull Carroll if he gets dropped. Pretty hamstrung with only 26k in the bank

With 700k+ in the bank next week I may just do a double upgrade on mediums to premiums, I already have the "must have" rookies in my side anyway.

Parish is probably my only lock so far to get rid of unless he goes big on Sunday.

Trade 1 is Budarick to Max Holmes via DPP

Trade 2 is reserved for the random unknown disaster that the fantasy gods will unleash on me at some point over the remainder of the round.

now that ive locked in my round 2 trades, my round 3 trades are probably 2 of Parish/Harley Reid/Windsor/Visentini out and NDaicos/Holmes + a rookie in

FlowersByIrene Do we launch into Newman unseen or need to have a look first? I'd appreciate your thoughts on this one..

Now, who are you sounding like in recent years? I get it now, your alt account, he's your alter ego!

Not much cash in the bank compared to others, and really want Houston.

May need to do an early "upgrade" of Budarick whilst on his bye.

Not really early imo, this may be about what Budarick offers now that we've had three games of data out of him.

Think his ownership numbers will drop significantly next round.

Things will change over the course of the weekend, but I think I'm probably looking at Budarick and one of Windsor/Blakiston/Carroll (if dropped) out for Newman and a premo.

I'm not blown away by the value of any premos at the moment, but early plans are grabbing either Rozee, Dunkley or Holmes

With cash gen ticking along nicely and a war chest, if all goes to plan...

Parish > Naicos
Budarick > Holmes

If Parish remembers how to football, I might keep him and take Gallop all the way up to Naicos.

Well spotted mate. Myself and that Phar Ace guy are indeed the same person!

Budarick has done his job which was to make cash and upgrade him on his bye
Agree - this looks to be one of those key moments where your team has no other major problems so you can easily move him on as planned, OR some other forced trades come up and you’re forced to keep him for a few weeks longer than you wanted to.

Reckon he still has an ugly 40 in him somewhere, so the coaches that can act swiftly and get him to a reliable premo might be the ones that get a jump on those who can’t.

And there I was thinking we were polar opposites 🫣. Besides I could never sit on a seat and push buttons at work the way you do. That's skill, and all those people, oblivious......

No, you know who I mean, RednWhite, or something like that.....

Yikes, I have my fair share of bad luck but I don’t think any of us are in that ball park!!

You are on the way to making it sound like it though......always saw you as a more upbeat fella:

For example, you after trading Naicos into your team!

For McAndrew @ R3 owners, can you trade a premium ruck out?

I'm currently rolling with Gawn and Jackson, who should continue to be a good combination, but Gawn saved his score late last week while the likes of English, Grundy and Cameron have all faltered through the first couple of rounds.

I'm looking at which rookies might pop up next week and Duff-Tytler is one that potentially fills a need in two lines (pending how he goes tomorrow of course). McAndrew has shown he is a viable R2 option so I'm thinking of re-deploying Gawn's value into other lines.
