Atm I’m doing English and Watkins to Ash and Steene. Already have Gawn and I’m leaning towards a different premo over a premo ruck. This leaves me with 400k and have been sitting with that much left over the last couple weeks as well and it’s doing my head in. Thinking of boosting Budarick to either Callaghan/Heeney. This means missing out on Farrow. What are people’s thoughts.

Anyone else looking at Rachele?

Role looks good, bulk CBAs. His low score seems an anomaly given he had 17 and kicked 2 goals (must have butchered it and not touched it late when scaling was high).

Only question would be whether he gets shifted forward when Rankine is finally fit.

Think farrow is going to be a very good rookie and probably not one you want to miss out on

On Farrow: in the second half against the Dogs Essendon reverted to its game plan of last year of careful sharing amongst the backline before launching an attack - we had been practising during the preseason moving the ball more quickly which has clearly been very difficult to implement for a team with skills as poor as ours.

In coaching to save his career, I can see Scott reverting to the slower game plan which should see someone like Farrow score well. They’ll have no issues getting it into his hands.

Makes me concerned he’ll be a really bad rookie to miss. I’m in a massive pickle this week

Bring in:
Gawn and Mckercher
OR
Grundy and one of Stewart / Worrell / Daicos?

With Richards and English out, time to use my first boost.

Option 1:

Obviously dependant on fittness, but I'm leaning towards 2. I guess my problem is I need to bring in a premo ruck at some point, so should I just go ahead and bite the bullet now?

I'm going to pass on farrow.

Will be a decent rookie and make 150k+ you'd expect, but I have these 3 trade ins that are more pressing after a horror couple of weeks going from 20k rank out to 60k rank.

I've been holding the likes of xerri, pou, marshall, murdock- so I'm hoping they can all start scoring well along with these new in's to help claw back some respectability.

I'd be trading in Farrow ahead of Young, without question. Young is no guarantee this week, isn't on the bubble, is held together by sticky tape, and Freo has already said that they might need to play him in different positions to look after his body. Go with the guy who will make you good cash, IMO.

buda > coleman
watkins > farrow

are my initial trade ideas, only have 20k itb so no massive moves for a couple of weeks, let the rookies make a few more bucks and then move on clug at a low price.

thinking to hold richards if its one more week - though hasnt been great for me

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure Freo have already flagged that Young will return in a less intensive role (reading between the lines, FWD) after his latest hammy.

Dont think hes worth a trade in at all.

would agree with this, with how bolton/reid/erasmus are playing atm young is less of a necessity in there and with his injury history i could see us being very cautious with how we play him, too big a risk for mine

Yeah obviously I'm not planning on trading him in if he's not playing this week.

Also yes- sticky tape etc etc.
I need points over cash at this point, so I'd be rolling the dice on young coming in and putting up tons and staying on the park.

Edit- if he's gonna rot fwd, maybe he's not the guy for me.
But I'll pivot away from young to someone else around his price that is a roll of the dice to put up tons everyweek from here on out (rather than farrow)

Is Rachele legit? Can get him in for Lombard this week.

He has Blues, Saints and Port at home over the next 4 weeks, Richmond at the G after that, then North at home. I’m taking a punt.

If he continues on this trajectory in the mids he’s a top 6 forward potentially with DPP?, worst case you’re stuck with an 80avg at F6 with a few big scores along the way. Forwards are a shit show anyway so it isn’t the worst risk imo.

Kiddy the obvious option if you can swing it.

At this stage I’m going Cogs + Young to Callaghan and Kozzie

Thinking about a cheeky boost to get NAS instead as I’m a bit short. Just don’t love the idea of using another trade for 50k

Starting with Darcy Cameron hasn't exactly turned out to be a huge success, so he's out, as is Duff-Tytler, so McAndrew into R2, Kossie into the forward line and and Farrow can sit in Flex which leaves me nearly 300k in the bank sitting there and doing nothing
