Maybe, but given they refused to trade him last year and Dimma is making the same kind of comments this year, he might be trying to force their hand as well.
To be honest, if you are a senior coach and you are given those questions, you just play it with a straight bat, or you leave it slightly outside the line of off-stump.

Most would, but think we've all seen enough of Dimma to know he's not the most calm brain going around.

TBH I am cooling off on Bailey Humphrey.
I’m cooling off on him - at all costs. One first rounder I’d do tho.

Talent doesn’t disappear that quickly - he’s obviously not being given any mid time and looks unhappy as hell.

Still very chance he thrives once he leaves and gets given a new role.

Probably, although now the problem is that he will have the reputation of turning into the Incredible Sulk and down tools, whenever he doesn't get his way.

Hoepfully he matures enough not to have this reputation.

Gold Coast going horribly and getting us a better pick :whitecheck:
Humphrey's trade value tanking :whitecheck:
Trac having a bad time :whitecheck:

can't stop winning GIF by The Opposition w/ Jordan Klepper

Yeah I wouldn't give the two firsts we have for Humphrey straight up as it stands, but I'm still keen.

Suns keeping him was foolish IMO, feels like clubs are being burnt on keeping players too long constantly. It hurt us with Trac/Oliver, it hurt Essendon with Daniher etc

A bit of it is on the players though. Pretty unprofessional to petulantly sook after you’ve signed a contract.

For sure, but the club is the one who gets hurt more in this scenario, so you'd think they'd want to avoid it.

Yeah, absolutely, I reckon if you’ve got someone who really doesn’t want to be there, you have to cut the cord as an organisation.

I agree with all of that but not sure Gold Coast let him go without getting overs. Especially if they are losing a bunch of other guys.

I can see us offering them whatever it takes to get the deal done though as its how we've always operated.

Yeah, issue is he is still contracted till end of 2028 so he has to go nuclear to get them to move him this year if a club doesn't offer overs.

The other thing is the last thing the suns need is more draft picks. If this year keeps heading in the same direction they are in danger of falling back into the exact same doom loop they've been in their whole existence with players looking for the door at every opportunity.
