We still have to be patient.
Just because we have improved remarkably this year doesn't mean we will continue to improve at the same rate next year.
Lots of things suggest we will improve, JR even though he has been inconsistent he has shown that he will be a valuable forward for a long time at 19 another preseason will benefit him heaps.
Cotchin is something special and a preseason under his belt will play every game minus injuries. Remember he is young and he may well have second year blues... I highly doubt it. Too much class. Youngest on the list will be still 18 when we start next season.
Edwards. People forget he is also 19 and he should have 50 games in him before he turns 21. The Kid has shown that he has what it takes to get the pill and his finishing skills when not under pressure isn't bad. Looks like he is quickly building a motor and the club is looking at him to be a midfielder. I like the fact that he isn't scared to take on the opposition, doesn't drop his head when he stuffs up and he is straight back in the pack trying to get the ball again. Small and Skinny will also benefit from another Preseason.
Connors unbelievably is still also 19. He has that bit of Arrogance about him. Very good in close and loves the Tuff stuff. Might well be that bit of Mongrel that we have missed since Andy Goodwin. Not sure if has the motor to go in the middle... doesn't matter.. his class around goals could see in a role similar to Johnson from the Cats. Again more miles under his belt over summer will see him in the starting 22 round 1.
Collins... Haven't seem much of him but he is still young and needs to build him self up.
JON.... Lacks confidence. Turns 21 in feb again he is very young. At 188cm plays tall and small. Glides over the park and looks the part when fit and has his tail up. Needs to grow into his body like a German sheperd pup. I still have faith in him.
The 21 year olds we have are Deledio(83 games) Tambling (76) White(37), Morton(28), Mcguane(31), and Graham, Hughes, Casserly
Our 21 and under is very impressive. High hopes for Hughes, Hopefully Graham can improve and Casserly from all accounts can play when he is on the Park.
Rance will push for a spot next year and hopefully Gourdis and Putt can continue develop.
Thats almost half the list......... Future looks really good.
