Delighted, of the twelve, he is one of the underrated if not the most underrated of the group, we missed him last season and this season there were times when his booming 50/60 meter kicks would have been a help.

You mean 60-70.

According to Dodoro, he had offers from 4 other clubs. I wonder who they were?

Not Norf, too young.

Not Carlton, too skilled.

Not Collingwood, too much heart.

Not Richmond, too tough.

Not Hawks, too loyal.

I'd guess any combination of Freo, West Coast, Adelaide, Brisbane, Carlton, Hawthorn and Richmond.

Not only is he now firmly in the conversation for Australian of the year, but I shudder to think of what he's capable of if he actually gets his body right for any length of time.

Last time he played a game he hadn't played for 5 months because of a shoulder, only played 45% game time because of a corked back and still had 23 touches, 11 contested possessions and 7 clearances.

'Bomber for life'

“I’m very proud to be a Bomber for life,” Myers said.

“Having taken some time to clear my head, the answer became pretty clear as to where my heart lies.

“Essendon has been a huge part of my life since I moved here as an 18 year-old. My teammates, the staff, members and the fans – they are all special people, and to be able to have an opportunity to put the last few years behind us and make the Club great again is something I couldn't be more excited about.

“It’s a privilege to be a part of the Essendon family, and I look forward to watching my mates over the rest of the year and rejoining them in September.”

Reading what the players say in the articles the club posts in the site are the best thing about these signings. What they have to say about being Essendon people warms the heart.

Of all the 12, Dave is someone I really hope has a chance to play injury free for a long while.

What a guy. :hearts:

Holy Christ..here I am at 9.30 at night, haven't read anything all day about footy and just saw that glorious thread title change.

Man what a incredible surprise.

Just makes you believe even more in the character of all these blokes in our group.

One very happy Bomber fan.

Almost as good as Hooker commiting!

We will do a reverse Freo next season :smirk:

Well you can sure as #### expect us to have a more superior squad next year compared to those bunch of crabs.

There's been so many clueless knob Freo and WC fans over here in Perf been pumping their fists in anticipation of the enviable Myers defection back to the motherland..lol

The squad we'll have next year compared to the one in 2016 in terms of skill level and competitiveness will be huge. I reckon It will take me a couple of games to get use to after watching a year of shitness lol.

Was going to post and say that the Age website has no news as yet, but have news on Viney and Whitfield re-signings. They just posted 5 minutes ago in a brief mention in an article under the heading of "Mark Jamar in contention.." Must hurt these guys.

Oh yes, I'll bet they have a swag of "Exodus" articles just waiting to go.
