25 man squads

Have to be named today at 5pm (just over 2 hours). A few things from reading up a bit about it.

- If you have 25 eligible players you must name 25 players, so once the squads are named you can't add an out of contract player to the 25 man squad.

- Under 21's have to have born on or after January 1, 1989.

- Home grown players are defined as those that have spent 3 years or 36 months registered at an English or Welsh club before they turned 21.

- Each club has to have 8 home grown players, or reduce the 25 man squad accordingly (if a club has 6 home grown players they can only name 23 man squad).

Having a look at City, I don't think anyone of note will miss out, Michael Johnson might be the only known player to miss but he's not expected back until December anyway. Wouldn't surprise me if he makes the 25 man swquad regardless.

Also I'm wondering when the first administrative **** up will take place denying a player league football for half a year. Surely it's only a matter of time until someone is inadvertantly left off a list.

Michael Kightly hasn't made Wolves 25 man squad, he might go out on loan when he gets back from injury. Luke Moore hasn't made West Broms squad, not sure if that is due to injury or something else.

Everton will only be naming 21 according to SSN, Aston Villa will only name 22. Obviously both have a few under 21's that will be playing for them this season.

Apparently if you have 25 eligible players you have to select 25. So if you've only got 23, Hargeaves is a cert to get in.

Steven Taylor is in Newcastles 23 man squad, one of those (Fraser Foster) is on loan at Celtic. 16 of those are "home grown".

Sunderland have 24 players (12 home grown), Frazer Campbell is in the squad despite (I think) being out for the season.

Surprised Hargreaves made the list, who knows if he's even still alive?
Kinda thought De Laet would make it as well but I guess he just hasn't come on as expected. The couple games I saw him play in the seniors last year when we were depleted at the back made me think he was pretty avg.
