There was an article from his high school year where he said similar about his school captaincy. Something to the effect that he wanted to form relationships with all groups, not just the footy/sports crowd.

I am not going to sit here and say I knew he was going to make it but I always had high hopes for the kid. His video highlights from his pre draft year were outrageous for the type of player he is. I just thought if he can transfer that into AFL, he was going to be some sort of player. Very good at bringing others into the game whilst also having a touch of class with his disposal. Fingers crossed he can stay fit and keep improving. His attitude and dedication seem top shelf.

I recall someone saying he needs to take a bit more time to pick his handball target because it's often someone under similar pressure, but I'd suggest that once his teammates trust him to come out of the pack with the ball, they should look to find themselves in a better position to recieve the ball.

Much of our issues re. 'effort' probably stem from everyone thinking they have to be the one to get the ball. Once that trust in other players doing their job starts to develop we will see a lot more attacking flow.

Have always liked this young fella, has had a wretched run of outs to date, but finally getting some continuity. Haven’t seen any of this footage before at all. First impression, I know it’s under age, but jfc, how good was he. A couple of things that stood out for me: Handball has always been a weapon that he’s possessed; vision ahead of the play with his decision making; kicking non preferred side of his body is exceptional (not something we’ve seen a lot of thus far); and the piece of play at 1:30 (head down over the ball), tough as.
