1- the media cant think of a new angle for swans v eagles clashes, theres no rivarly we just beat them now
2- grundy is better off not thinking just get rid of it
3 white on the wing i dont mind it horse

1. is White finally coming of age? or is the pressure to perform for a new contract sinking in? i have been very critical of him in the past, but either way, if he continues to perform, i'd like to see him stay at the swans. thats a big IF though.
2. Cunners looked good, how has it taken him 18 months to get his second game? definitely want to see him get a full game.
3. still cant believe were in the top 4 with 5 first year players.

  1. Kurt Tippett has improved his goal kicking accuracy since leaving Adelaide.
  2. K.Jack's work ethic is endless, he just runs, runs and runs never giving up.
  3. Malceski doesn't have to have a major influence with the rebound from defence for Sydney to clear it successfully.

I've always had a hopeful eye out for him. He's been a bit unlucky with Pyke coming in and dominating - before that he was usually there-abouts if needed... Would be good if we could get a second Tippet for him during trade period ;) Anyway, with LRT and Goodes getting older, we should hang on to him if possible.
2. K.Jack's work ethic is endless, he just runs, runs and runs never giving up.
You learnt that from Swans vs Eagles? Fast learner ;P I'll use my 2nd thing to give Pykie a big thumbs up. No doubt about who's the premier ruckman in the comp now.
3. still cant believe were in the top 4 with 5 first year players.
Yep. Very happy with the newbies. Future looks bright :)

Probably a rhetorical question? He has had a few unlucky injuries. Loved his first involvement, can't get much better than that.

edit: as opposed to lucky injuries??

yes cunnington looked good! I saw him in the nab cup last year and didn't think much of him to be honest.. hes put on size too!.. Lamb played his best game, can see him keeping out Morton. is quicker then mitch with better forward pressure.

Cunnington is a fat f*ck.

1. Jesse white has a future at the club if he so desires
2. Not sure if he was carrying an injury but Tippett doesn't appear to work hard enough today, however he did stand up when it counted in the final term and kicked 2 goals
3. Our mids our the best in the game. End of discussion
4. Rampe is an integral part of our backline
5. Lamb is getting better and better every week
6 . Known it for a while now but reg probably has the worst awareness of his surroundings in the league

By a fraction I'd say. Last week he kicked 3.5. But then again the team kicked 27 behinds

3 things + more ;)

1. Still trying to fathom where we are pulling them from: Mitchell, Cunningham, Rampe, Lamb and B. Jack all under 20 games. With the ilk of Goodes, LRT, Reid, Rohan, Shaw, Morton, Walsh, McGlynn and AJ out (Mattner retired, so not going to come back but still...), I feel we should all be very happy with where we are at. 10 players who could come into our senior line-up. The mind boggles
2. Josh Kennedy seems to be an exceptionally good name for a football
3. Mitchell has a little brother. Good thing to occasionally listen to the radio eh?

  1. The development of the youngsters in the reserves have been very impressive. All the young kids who come into the seniors this year with a specific role in mind have done well overall, including Cunningham today whose involvement was crucial when it looked like the Eagles were threatening.
  2. The handballing work in close are a work of art and deserve to be framed and put on a mantlepiece. Someone make a video of all those passages.
  3. The coaches may have unlocked the secret to Jesse White. Start him on the wing and make him run everywhere, showcasing his athleticism. Such freedom seems to have done wonders for his competitiveness too.

That was the standout for me yesterday. The way we worked ourselves out of trouble with slick handballing reminded me of our finals campaign last year. Just waiting for the tackling ferocity and 1%ers to lift a little.

Extremely pleased with how our youngsters are transitioning into the first team. Obviously Rampe has been exceptional in defence and Mitchell on a HFF but the likes of Jack and Lamb have been equally impressive. Both of those guys have definitely shown themselves to be very much in our future.

Kennedy is starting to warm into the season, it was around this time he went a bit quiet last year so perhaps he's paced his run a little more this year. He's probably our best finals performer as well, so to see him stepping up towards the run home is very promising.

Finally, I think the key for us to go back to back is how our real stars and top liners play. The aforementioned youngsters along with the other fringe players (Everitt, Bolton, etc) have shown that they're an extremely capable "bottom six" and that they won't let us down in the big games. The onus is on Kennedy, Jack, Tippett, Richards and Hannebery in the big games. If four of those guys can have games like Jack did yesterday, there's no reason we can't win the flag.

1. WCE have under performed in 2013

2. Dan Hanneberry - some Melbourne based club recruiters asleep at the wheel

3. Does Nick Smith fly under the radar or what!

Harry's had serial injury problems. That goal assist was a good look, he has pace so let's get more games into him.
