Thanks to Tazwegian

A massive unit at 205cm, Osborn reportedly has excellent agility and vertical leap. Cites his strengths as his ability to run well for a big man, and at 22 years old, Osborn already has the physique to be physically competitive at the AFL level. Adelaide are said to be keen to develop him into either a ruckmen or key position defender, which demonstrates his athleticism as there are very few defenders capable of competing endurance wise at his height. Could potentially be a very interesting prospect going forward.
He was recruited into basketball after a massive growth spurt, apparently. He played footy until he was 17. He then went to America for four years. I have no idea about their college system or how good it is, but he played pretty well over there from what I have seen.
Not sure about softness, but we'll see how he develops.

Osborne is definitely my favourite of the alternative pathways ruckmen we've brought in. Played football for his entire junior career, has been in the American college basketball system so has a great fitness base, and is just absolutely huge.

Really hope he can solidify a league place this year :thumbsu:

Yes, is certainly the one who has attracted my attention the most. Has some real weapons too.

Most ruckman are within the 200-203cm bracket, so being 205cm already gives him a bit of an edge, couple this with his apparent pretty decent agility and he could be a real find.

Would be interested in giving him a run as a forward as well, see if we can't develop him into a forward/ruck. I seriously doubt his ruckwork will ever rival Jacob's in its effectiveness, but if he has enough athleticism to be a decent target up forward and not just a complete oaf standing at the top of the goalsquare he could make a pretty decent tandem.

Obviously a long, long, long way off and is definitely a long shot to make it, but certainly a worthwhile investment as he has a real point of difference. One to watch with real interest and its great to hear that Centrals rate him quite highly.

Is it something that has been coming on for a while, or did he suffer an injury?

Not sure, just found out from a Twitter feed i follow earlier
EDIT: Face book

Does Brodie come straight back in? His Eagles have the bye.

Tempting but put him in a reserves team for confidence, though in saying that, it means Jaensch gets another week
