The bandwagon is full.
I am happy for the club we have reached the budgeted figure....win the flag this year and expect 35,000 next year

C'mon c'mon, keep a lid on it
(nobody's said it for a while)

It's round 14 and we have 10 wins up.....I think it is fairly safe to think we will make the finals this year...that gives us a chance at the flag.....no point in keeping a lid on it anymore![]()
I'm with you chief.
Just having a dig!
I say we aim for 40,000 next year.
I honestly think we could hit it if we win the flag...
Thoughts?
Crowd Capacity at SS will always keep our numbers a bit lower than we might expect IMO. When SS can hold 35,000 people then 40,000 might be a chance. But who knows, anything can happen.
The bandwagon is full.
So hypothetically we have a poor year next year, do they support the side through thick and thin 'just on principle' because we had a good year last year.I doubt it, especially when we had 32k last year. There is still many in the woodwork who 'just on principle' didn't want to support the club after the poor effort last year.
Not bad numbers. Would be interested to see the final numbers for the rest of the teams. We do pretty well out of the memberships so huge numbers aren't as important for us as they are either teams, I'd reckon.
Thats true, lets just hope the bandwagoners who jumped off were people not paying too much for memberships, as long as a large percentage of the reserved seat ticket holders stayed on board i think the GFC would be pleased.
I'd just hate to think what would happen to our membership base if they played a 2006 type season this year......but luckily they changed their way and even if we do not make the GF we should be pushing for 33k+ members next season.
Richmond supporters were giving us a hard time about membership at the start of the year. I think we ended up beating them.
Geez, there are a few people on here that like blowing thier own trumpet. I live on the sunshine coast and am not a member. I nearly signed up this year after returning from overseas, but didnt because of the poor interstate membership package they had on offer. I am a little skint at the moment, but wouldnt mind parting with the cash (or more of it) if they actually offered something.
