Just seems to be a better fit on the wing.He has sown up one of the wing rotations. Needs to stay further up the ground. He is not a defender.
22 disposals at 86% and 7 marks as a winger. His long kicking is very underrated.
I dunno, hit larkey up with a 15m laser after dancing around a tackle in the second I think.Should only kick 50+ metres.

I was the guy who mentioned it on the Q and A recently that in my opinion he should play on the wing or mid, does the coaching staff share my opinion,i was not impressed by the answer ratts gave,it makes you wonder that most of us can clearly see it but it took them till the last game to work it outHe has sown up one of the wing rotations. The annoying thing is they learnt that lesson late last year for his last few games and then he was sent back to defence. More an indictment on the back six and their lack of pace.I was the guy who mentioned it on the Q and A recently that in my opinion he should play on the wing or mid, does the coaching staff share my opinion,i was not impressed by the answer ratts gave,it makes you wonder that most of us can clearly see it but it took them till the last game to work it out
Just adds another dimension to our midfield mix with pace, agilty and long kicks inside 50 that clear the zoneThe annoying thing is they learnt that lesson late last year for his last few games and then he was sent back to defence. More an indictment on the back six and their lack of pace.
More impressive for me is when he received on the HBF before the kick. Did what only real power athletes can do and actually put the foot down and you saw the next gear kick in. He just blew past the GCS player. The kick was awesome but there's very few players who you can actually see put the foot down and go at real speed and he's one of them. Rusted on wingman now. We are sorted wing wise with him and ScottThe kick inside 50 to Larkey in the 3rd was the inside 50 kick of the season for us. Has to be a regular piece of the puzzle.

Ford surelyGive me a cup of Goater Rising Star nomination juice this week thank you sir.

Agree he looked great on the wing, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's one more season away from having the endurance and proven consistency to do it fulltime. His ToG yesterday was 78 compared to Scott's 92.More impressive for me is when he received on the HBF before the kick. Can’t kick, lol:
Needs to work with a psychologist in the off season.Used it by foot really well today but can’t hang his hat on that all off season. As I said about a month ago, needs to do extra work this off season working on his kicking. Will be a huge weapon if he can become a consistently good ball user.
Playing on the wing forces him to play more on instinct.Needs to work with a psychologist in the off season.
If you look at Goater’s worst disposals they are usually when he has too much time and overthinks it.
When he is forced into an instinctive disposal he is fine.
I don’t think Goater’s disposal issues are anything more than indecision when he has too much time to think about what he is going to do.
Sheezel is the opposite, he has already made up his mind before he gets it and executes.
If Goater plays more on instinct and just backs himself more, he will become a massive weapon.
