Yze's coaching career is going to be very short, with selections like Ryan over OHB. I am very concerned about Yze and I don't think he will amount to much like Ryan who has proven to be sub standard.
If were being honest OHBs output isn't likely to be any better than Ryans this season at the level.

The issue is we've seen enough of Ryan to comfortably assume hes not going to get any better, whereas OHB deserves a chance to prove himself.

pay out, delist. go to the MSD and grab another ruck. can't afford to have him on the list. we need to be more aggressive in list management. problem is we have players like Smith that we still have no clue if they wil make it

I di
He was fine. Wouldn’t bother with the vomit opinions in here. They are so wharped it’s hilarious. Our forward line was way way way more of a problem today. When someone hates a player he has played a shocker before the game has started lol
I didn't get to see the game, but he was up against CCJ, let's see how good his performance is against Gawn this week.
They dropped OHB who probably would have done as good or better than Ryan against CCJ, so let's not get excited yet.
They obviously want to give Ryan every chance seeing as he's contracted for another year after this one.

Well, Nank routinely gets spiflicated by Gawn, as does the vast majority of other experienced and well-respected ruckmen across the league, so Ryan is just getting set up for failure by all those salivating at the prospect of bagging him relentlessly after Friday night's match.

He's a Tiger player. We're meant to be Tiger supporters. How about we all give the bloke a break and not carry on like a bunch of Essendon supporters every time a player doesn't live up to the standard of our premiership stars.

They’re not supporters lol
Sound like knob heads reslly
Probably haven’t been to a game this year. Looking forward to a solid game from Ryan. Gawn doesn’t jump as well these days. Hopefully a couple of strong marks around the ground and a goal this week

I held off on making a call on him for a long time, unfortunately I just don't think he will make it.
It's not his fault he's not up to it, it's on the club for not having a decent second ruck. Let's hope they address that this midseason or off season.
Long term I hold more hope for OHB (and not a great deal of hope that he will be more than a back up) so it's frustrating to watch the club give Ryan opportunity after opportunity, particularly when he's done nothing this year to earn it.
And on Gawn vs Nank, it would be interesting to see stats, I don't feel he would absolutely dominate him in the ruck, beat him, no doubt.
Ryan doesn't have the body and I don't think he ever will to compete against a player Luke Gawn. If he can't leap over him in the centre he will have a had time having any influ on the game at all.
I'll support our players and the club, but if I get served a shit sandwich, I'm not going to happily chow down and say isn't this wonderful, just call it as I see it.
Rant finished.

sure, but I wouldn't say it is fair to say that supporting a player that isn't going to make it is like eating a shit sandwich.

I agree that he probably isn't going to make it, but he's a kid and I'm still going to hope that he can get the most out of himself.

I don't think you can call yourself a supporter if you publicly shit all over players. Be sad and disappointed, but the keyboard warrior personal attacks have gotta stop.

And from all of this I'd love know where I shit all over him????
I said he played an OK game by all reports against CCJ, another ruck type that is a big question mark if he will make it, and not to get excited about that that.
What would be nice is if we can have a bit of debate a supporters rather than be labelled keyboard warriors.
Maybe a case of pot/kettle?

Hes never been to a pub
Would run out crying over the fact that not all supporters of the same club agree with each other...

He wouldn't call someone out in a pub over it either I'm tipping

Always 1 wannabe night in shining armour trying to get the easy likes
😉

not attacking you good sir, making a more general comment. apologies for the miscommunication

2 ruckman vs Gawn.

Lynch for Faull
OHB for Lefau / Fawcett gets a week at CHF.

If we don't play 2 against gawk the last half will be a procession.
Agree. Don't think it would fair on either OHb or Ryan to go one out against Gawn, or expect any other player from the team to act as second ruck.
Play both, it will be a good test for them against the best in the comp.
Ultimately, the ruck contests aside, it will be up to the rest of the team not to bomb it down the line for Gawn to have easy picking all night, like we did last time.

Lot of people saw what they wanted last game. Early on CCJ pushed him around. That stopped. In the end I'd give the choccies to Ryan - but not by much. So Ryan matched or slightly beat a 2nd rate wanna be ruck. OK, better than what he has done up to now.

He'll get murdered against Gawn, like most other rucks.

Right here and now I'm comfortable that we have 2 guys who can play AFL ruck to a base level. If you want better than that good on you. But it doesn't matter this year.

I want Nank back and us to get a guy who do a good B grade ruck job as an FA end of this year. But Ryan did enough to keep his spot.

He isn't a long term good option, but as a backup quite adequate.

Haters will hate, but he finally seems to be OKish.

(God that is the most lukewarm positive supportive post I reckon I've ever done :))

Even with Nank back Ryan and OHB need to get games in them the simple fact we need to know come season end we're we stand ruck wise
I think we know where we stand ruckwise really. Neither are at the level. OHB has at least the attribute of being good at ground level and has improved a lot in the last 12 months. Dead unlucky to be dropped.

Either way we go for the best ruck in the deraft or pick up a good young one from another club. Nank has one more year in him really.

He probably won't make it. Most draftees don't.

But the callous and ridiculous vitriole against a young bloke running out wearing Tiger colours and trying his guts out, however lower than Dusty-level that might be, gets under my skin.

Ryan hasn't been "opportunity after opportunity". He was given a 3-year deal on a dice roll that a young ruck perhaps takes a bit longer to fully develop into that role than others. He was then brought into the team under-done due to desperate need. He has been given 27 games since 2020 ... hardly a dream ride.

I'm expecting him to be soundly beaten in the ruck this Friday night by the best ruckman I've ever seen, who's currently in AA nick. As a result we will most likely get spiflicated from the contests, maybe even more than we normally do against Melbourne. I've watched Nank and Soldo together get torn apart by Max Gawn. My expectations for what Ryan can achieve this week are very limited, but if he has a crack I will support him, rather than just bag him mercilessly like so many keyboard champions.

Balta as first ruck would give us more than Ryan. Gawn would just go forward and make Samson look like a schoolboy. OHB too for that matter. At least Balta would have him covered defensively and Noah would also make Gawn more accountable as he is a legitimate forward option.

We'd get less hitouts, but we'd also get less spectating. And Gawn won't take 20 marks like he would against Ryan and/or OHB.

Convinced people didn't actually watch this guys game past the one mark he let slip they've had on repeat all week. Offered far more in the ruck than OHB, sorry, quite soundly beat CCJ (not hard tbf) and our midfield was on top until Timmy went off.

He's a backup ruck, who is fine, my biggest worry is he's still so skinny at his age. If I were him I'd focus just on bulking up. Was our 5th highest rated player on the ground for what its worth.

no he didnt, if anything he won the day
-ryan beat him with effective tapouts,
-2 less possessions but ccj gave away 4 frees fo ryan gets the chocolates here,
North won the football match by 75 points.

Playing good football finally. rebuilding for a decade?

Gale's vision for RFC was supposed to be up like Swans & Cats. Ended up like West Coast.

Too many mistakes at the club. Ryan is barely standard, nor is OHB. Sims too young.
