That goal in the third was ha-uge. Brilliant game and finals series. What a lad.

What a lad indeed.

Cliched but he showed why he was thought of highly enough to be drafted.

Slick stole a cert in the first quarter too, that kick to Brown to open the last quarter. His skills were great. One of the few blokes I feel confident in when hes having a shot at goal, moments dont seem to faze him.

Really good player we got here, he's worked on his game a lot, rounding out his skillset. Kicks it a mile too, not just the goal but the diagonal to Ben Brown in the 4th, covered a ridiculous amount.

For his sake a bit of a shame Trac/Clarry ahead and the 3rd guy around them needs to be defensive-minded, because Tom can really play. Fact he's impacted games in finals in general play...

Nah could be a blessing in disguise for him. We need our midfielders to be well rounded and he's becoming a handy HFF.

Couldn't have imagined that he'd round out the rest of his game this well, thought he was a guaranteed bull in the china shop a la SPP for his whole career.

I don't disagree but at some point this kid could be one of the upper grade midfielders but probably won't really ever have the opportunity to tap into the clearance/grunt work side of his game. Teams have won flags with key mids inferior to where I believe Sparrow could end up(Eagles in 18', Tigers last few years...).

The trajectory he's on is pretty great

Yeah which means someone might throw a big deal at him to get him out

Featuring slick Jacko and composed Nibbler **** me we've got a squad by Pythagoras theorem this would've covered around 55 surely? Went as long as it went wide, PERFECT

The new Bernie Vince in that he will likely continually look 15 years old for the rest of his career.

Oh, and like Bernie he loves a snag from outside 50m.

It just came to me watching that last quarter how much he actually reminds me of Dane Swan early days

the way he moves and waddles
kicking style is actually eerily similar
Loves a goal and plays well in big games

Tell you what, that goal he kicked in that minute, he roosted it from 50 off about 2 steps with 4 blokes around him.

I remember when he was drafted he looked like a poor man’s Dangerfield from his highlights package but Danger never had that in his game.
