Legend.

He has everything. I'd love him to become more aggressive though. I hope you are at your local park having 100 shots at goal every day Travis!

Our greatest CHF, according to the Collingwood Team of the Century, is Murray Weideman. By all means, he was a good strong player who inspired his teammates and intimidated his opponents. He was what every CHF should be.

On the other hand, Travis Cloke is a workhorse, or better put, a different kind of CHF. But I have no doubt that he will be regarded in the same league as Weideman, if not better, at CHF.

We will see.

Now for 2008: Cloke
1:24 AM Fri 1 February, 2008 | BACK
Nick Hulett in Sun City
Exclusive to collingwoodfc.com.au

Travis Cloke has put his euphoric 2007 Copeland Trophy triumph behind him as he prepares for an even bigger 2008 season.

Speaking after training just outside Sun City in South Africa on Wednesday, Cloke, who turns 21 in March, emphasised he is fully focused on getting his season off to a good start against the Crows in the first pre-season cup match in Dubai on February 9.

"The boys remind me a fair bit (about the Copeland), weekly actually, so they’ve got into me about that, but it’s pretty much out of my mind now," said Cloke.

"The '08 season is on track, and a week to go until Adelaide, and really looking forward to that."

In terms of his 2008 ambitions, Cloke, who emerged as one of the premier young key forwards in the competition last year, is only really worried about a solid pre-season campaign at this stage.

"Short term goals, just week by week, and take it that way, and just try and win the first game against Adelaide, move on to the second week, and try and go as far as we can in the NAB Cup."

Rounds 1 and 2 summary:

Quiet start, much like 2007. He seems to have found his preferred goalkicking spot, that is 50 metres out and 45 degrees from the goal. He loves to slot those. Despite a quiet start he still looks like the same old Cloke, I would say he is the best tackler for a key forward in the AFL. He just fights for the ball so well.

Played well again on Friday.

Something funny that you might want to remember when sitting or standing near Trav Cloke. Be aware of his farts. Don't know if you saw Before the Game but he won tool of the week for dropping his guts next to Dale Thomas.

Don't like to say this but... he is just not the real deal. We are in need of a half forward who will stand up when needed. In answer to the question 'how does he compare to Buddy Franklin' - mate, you have to be kidding. These two players are not in the same league. Their names should not be put in the same sentence. Hate to say it but Frankling is a star. Cloke is far, far away from him. I dont understand and am shocked as a pie supporter how the hell he won our Copelane medal? If he is our best player we are in much more trouble then we thought. He will struggle in any given year to kick more than 30 goals!! He only seems to stand up when the game is being totally dominated by us and we have a good lead - no pressure. Anzac day was a perfect example. One goal and very little of the ball until the pies smashed the game open. Out he comes. No pressure. Wouldnt look good walking off the ground with no goals in a big win so when the pressure is off and the game is won, he says 'its my turn to shine', then he goes out and kicks a few and looks good after the game. Game before Anzac Day no goals, game after Anzac Day no goals - both loses. Stand up Travis, help your team. We have been so lucky for the past decade with the Rocca brothers but now we are in big, big trouble.

Did Cloke play some of last year with an injury? The start of the year?
He started off slow, ankle injury if i remember right
