Roo smashing them across half forward. Trent H at his prime. Biglands as lead ruck. Bassett down back. McGregor 13 marks as a tall forward.

It's hard to make a case for today's side not based on potential but on actual level.

Seriously? We were in the middle of our "practically unbeatable" phase, and clear on top of the ladder. At the moment we're six in a row admittedly but not even in that league. We were that year's version of Geelong/St. Kilda.

Bassett >> Otten (not a knock on Otten, but Bassett was AA that year)

Some other comparisons are probably pretty close (Edwards, Doughty, Reilly, Stevens, Johncock 2006-2009)

Not an unrealistic assumption. Without Sandilands in their team we're looking a little top heavy - especially for wet weather footy. I don't think we'll lose, but I'm expecting a similar margin to last week.

30 goals at least wouldn't be out of the equation, I think we'd need roughly 365 free kicks to get close in this match.
