There's been times they've played a straight bat and then an announcement came out a day or two later, so never know.

I was told by two different people, one who is always spot on and one who goes at about a 75% strike rate that he had signed and it would be out this week. Gotta apologize as that's looking not the case now, but pretty weird that both mentioned it on the same day.

Yeah it was interesting language from Goodwin because he was adamant Fritsch was not going anywhere, though I guess he's contracted so it's easier to get away with that kind of statement.

His partner plays for our AFLW team I think. If he leaves it will likely be to another victorian side.

Not really sure. There were a few rumours a while back he was right on the verge of signing a contract that never came to fruition. A little bit of conjecture about him not being happy with the position he plays. Might just be waiting for the new coach to have a chat. It's a bit odd to have someone who hasn't signed this late in the piece and very little concrete info about where they might be off to though.
