Re: 41. Michael Quinn

This guy had a horror final, or mainly a horror moment. I still think he could be a real prospect (had no idea how young he was)

Screw it, no more fence-sitting. Quinn top 5 for club B&F for 2012. You heard it here first (i hope)

Re: 41. Michael Quinn

To those who have the courage to venture down to watch Bendigo, how is our favourite Irish import going this season?

Late response but he has won Bendigo's Best and Fairest:eek:

Re: 41. Michael Quinn

It's pretty impressive that he's gone from never playing the game to dominating at state level within 2 years. I'm not convinced he'll make it as an AFL player but I guess he's a quick learner so he could be proving me wrong fairly soon.

Re: 41. Michael Quinn

I didint think he was Bendigos best player this year.... but congrats to him. Interesting to see if the club sticks with him or not, I have a feeling that he doesnt have much longer left on the rookie list.

Re: 41. Michael Quinn

Has a better finals record/performance than neon leon !

Heh, good to see this record still stacks up ! Obviously next season is make or break. There is no harm in either party (the club or Quinn) admitting it hasn`t worked. I remember when sheedy stubbornly refused to let poor old Danny McCallister go, re-contracted, de-listed, re-listed, rookied. Sometimes you just have to face facts.
No doubting Quinny and his work ethic, I`d be shocked if he lasted into 2012.

Re: 41. Michael Quinn

Need to give him another 2 years. No point in having a project player and not seeing it through.

As much as I dislike him getting senior games the last 2 years I still think he has shown enough to warrant a 2 year stay.

Re: 41. Michael Quinn

Played the last few games at bendigo as a tagger - And apparently held his own.

Tagging role may be the chance for him to play regular senior footy.

Re: 41. Michael Quinn

Yeah also doubt it. Improved vastly, but still just has a huge weakness which is probably even more of a problem now than it was 2 or 3 years ago, with the drop-off in sides running it and the increase in sides kicking it long & high.

Re: 41. Michael Quinn

His form for Bendigo hasn't been that abhorrent. I mean, he hasn't exactly set the world on fire, but he's been far from the worst.
Can't recall him in the pre-season really though, but from the couple of trainings I've been to this year, he trains well. HATE his awkward kicking style. Actually quite similar to Meli's, probably something to do with only starting to play in the last couple of years as apposed to other players who've been playing since childhood.

Give him a chance I say, he isn't doing all that much wrong, and is apparently very coachable.

Re: 41. Michael Quinn

Is taking up a rookie spot that we could be using on someone else though, he was Matty Knights's experiment and I think he will be let go at seasons end. Wouldnt mind him becoming a Bendigo listed player though as he is quite capable at vfl level.
