He legit got injured in the captains run didn’t he? Would say that from that point his debut should be inevitable but 2 seasons on we haven’t seen it and will now probably pay the cost of not seeing it

Nah, go back and have a look at the Gould thread. According to Bigfooty he was definitely going to debut next week (every week!) - VFL player of the year & was going to be our next pillar of defence.

Took about 3 more years to get a debut (I think it was Year 4?) .... a few senior games, then promptly got delisted.

Gould's idea of work was a walk down to KFC. Good footballer but SFA dedication.
Snell has worked his clacka off, built himself up physically and looks a genuine player. His last 4 weeks in Ressies teamed with Hamling sometimes and sometimes on his own with 5 VFL listed mates he has looked pretty good. Still a bit small to play on the monsters but definitely big and skilled enough to be a very decent third tall.

Not sure what else he can do, he's been seriously impressive. Unlike Gould he actually has a turn of speed and has the get up and go that imo suits our game plan. Wasn't surprised when Gould debuted and looked off the pace, I just can't see that happening with Snell.

I know, even though its the logical thing to do in replacing a key defender with a key defender, like we didn't play Snell last week because Kyle was positionally the smarter play. We will use uno reverse logic to deny Snell a debut
