I had a similar reaction. I expected him to sink the boots in.....

yeah i heard him on SEN yesterday. he was saying that no one knew in what way Didak had been affected by the Hudson incident and that he's only human etc. He was very humane actually!

I think he mentioned that he'd recently had a sit down with Dids and probably got an insight into just how much Dids was effected by the Hudson thing.

i was about to start a thread on the same article. pretty interesting, i didnt know whether to believe it or not.

A caller on sen said he had "inside knowledge" that didak was staying 100%

lol

both are unreliable i guess the only way to find out is to wait and see.

It could well be true, but we won't know until October. It would be a real shame if we are to trade Rhyce too, after making such a fine improvement this year, after a recovery year from his ACL in '07.

If we are to move Didak and Shaw on hypothetically, we should also move on a few other players whose attitude and discipline is questionable.

Can't trust them to what? Not inform you truthfully of something completely unrelated to work when being the victim of a crime somehow made them a villain last time? Without knowing who started the lie, if it was formulated beforehand or a spontaneous reaction by either of the players (most likely while still pissed). Can you see either of them contradicting the other if Shaw had lied to protect Didak or Didak lied to protect himself from Shaw's stupidity? No one knows but we do know if the club had done as Buckley suggested in his article or better yet shut up until they had all the facts this would be 1/10th the story it is.

Getting tanked the night before training IS related to work for them. It impacts upon their ability to recover and their ability to maintain fitness.

I agree, Eddie shouted a little too quickly 'Nothing to see here' when he should have simply released a bland media statement. Maybe everyone needed a day for the shock to wear off before acting/saying things they regretted.

I would place a pretty strong bet that Didak would also only be $5000 out-of-pocket but lining up on Saturday if he had immediately 'fessed up to everyone (even through the leadership group first) and admitted wrong-doing. Kane Johnson was a good example of going on the front foot (and going on the front door, too...)

Only insiders would know for sure. I think after hearing Rowdy's comments about Egan's attitude in a VFL game post-mortem, he would fit the description. It concerns me the effect some of these guys may have on our up-and-comers.

That's his opinion. This guy is stating it as news. As if he was a fly on the wall in a secret meeting.

EDIT: Sorry I read it as Hutchy said he would be sacked. It's ok if everyone thinks he should be sacked, or speculate he will be sacked. HOWEVER Stephen "****stick" O'Reilly stated it as fact. When all he is doing is guessing to grab headlines.

If Didak stays at years end, could we all flood the Australian's website with demands for the sacking of this journalist for lying. After all it's a dreadful crime and we have standards to uphold and all that, hey what, rather?
