McNiece is that guy who is just quick enough, just has good enough skills, just good enough defensively but fades out of games and can make some horror decisions with ball in hand.

It's not a coincidence that McNiece looked capable (at least in the lovable foot-soldier sense) on debut last year when he was playing in a team that wasn't completely mentally-gacked.

I tipped he'd come in earlier in the week - makes sense especially now with Hurley out to bring him in. Provides experience and has generally been pretty decent when he plays. Will probably play on Crameri or Parsons as our 3rd defender, and do a good job.

Thought McNiece displayed a better attack on the ball in the last 2 weeks - Still has a way to go but would play him in front of Baguley.

Is out. Clearly lacks the talent to be viable long term. Play those who will be part of our future.
Dea has played every game this year when not injured or returning from injury, but really I think he's best as depth. Redman should be in his spot, only question I have is whether Redman can shut down a small the way Dea is supposed to (I don't watch Redman play enough to make a call on that either way).

Can’t be any worse at shutting down smaller players than Dea is.

I doubt that I'll watch the replay because it would seem that anything to be taken from the game was pretty obvious.

My initial impression of Dea was that he was a liability.

As I said in the game day thread, a saving slide does not make a game.
Can’t play again.
He was beaten over and over last night. In the one moment when he actually won a ball in a contest he drilled it straight to a Tiger.

Why persist with him when kids are waiting in the wings?

Dea was very solid tonight - The issue will be when Francis returns in two weeks it will be him or Ridley who plays VFL.

He really wasn’t go watch the highlights and you’ll see the Hurley and Dea show for nearly everyone of their goals.

What has this club come to when the only thing we can hang our hat in was a goal saving smother :tearsofjoy:
