Police might have evidence Gus was last seen at 5pm. If not, Gus’s disappearance could have been at any time.

On that, the only evidence police could have would be photographic either by camera or cctv, yeah?

Possibly or a collaborated story but police seem at this stage ti at least be saying Gus wandered off after being seen at 5pm by Grandma.

Unless I'm missing something there was no one else on site to collaborate the story, so either they have photographic evidence or they're simply repeating what they've been told.

Yeah probably the same cctv that captured the snake on the verandah. 🙄

I'm surprised the reporter and photographer didn't hear the shotgun being discharged as the grandparent 'despatched' the snake.

Shotguns are kinda loud.

Anyways, I think the police might be buying the family some space whilst also listening in quietly on the fallout.

It appears the homeowners choice of security is a shotgun. I think if there was a CCTV surveillance system at the property we’d know about it by now.
I wonder if any of the neighbours have CCTV or are they shotgun stoppers?

I'm also curious that Gus was allegedly discovered missing at 5:30pm, and allegedly the family searched for 3 hours before they called police.

The sun set at approx 6:15pm.

Wouldn't you call the police immediately, on the realisation that you only had 45 minutes of daylight to find a missing 4yo in the outback?

Wouldn't you also immediately call his dad for assistance?

Neither of those happened apparently.

I find that strange.

It was said by someone, cant even say who said it, that Gus was a good walker.
What does that mean?
Was it a created narrative?

No idea what it means, especially on the back of the family saying he wasn't known to wander.

Maybe he was agile for his age, but didn't stray far from his sense of security either?

I wonder how they searched the property if Gus wandered off around this time. Did they walk, ride bikes, in a car in the dark?

Well, they had 45 minutes of daylight, so presumably that was spent searching around the dam, sheds and immediate surrounds of the house.

Then they apparently spent 135 minutes in the dark searching......where?

Would've required lighting however they did it.

And during all this neither the police or his dad were alerted.

That's some sort of composure. I'm thinking most mums and families would be hysterical under such circumstances.

It’s a long time especially on dark and in a rural area.
Would be hard to see and might be too dangerous to drive around and look in case you didn’t see him.

And apparently he gave no verbal response to them at all despite all their calling.

So one can only conclude he was either unable to communicate for whatever reason, or he wasn't present wherever they searched.
