Would be interesting to know what concerns Josh had about his children living on the property. With the children still living at the property I’d be surprised if there were concerns about his well-being and care. Maybe he had no choice to accept it. It’s not unusual for people to not get along with an in law especially living and maybe working with them on a secluded property. His property looks much greener and serene just in my opinion.
In fairness it sounds like the Murrays are hard working people and raised Jessica who attended university a year early and it seems they were on some level helping Jess look after her children. (At least until Gus went missing.)
Not sure about the renovation thing. Was the family living together a mutual plan or was Jess happy to live and work with her parents. They are growing older too and probably needed a hand. Many families live in a house while it’s being renovated.

Hasn't the father been renovating a home so mum and the kids can move in with him?

Of course that doesn't mean she's agreed to move.

Allegedly the father had an issue with one of the grandparents. Do we know if there was any tension between he and his wife?
Well it would be kind of weird having two mother in-laws

Pretty much my thoughts.

Despite whats happened, there seems to be a close bond between Mum, kids and Grandmas, so much so that despite this tragedy, they're still there together, whereas Mum could have said stuff this im out of here now.

It would be quite an adjustment for them to ip and leave the land behind to reunite with Dad.
Not saying they wouldn't, or that theres anything off with him or their relationship, just that I get the impression theres a greater pull to stay than leave.

I guess my point is, to what extent would one go to maintain the status quo.

Ok, multiple dogs were used, and all 'failed to pick up a trail'.

Apparently, such dogs can detect a trail for up to 30 hours after the fact.

So, either the dogs were brought in too late and the trail was too old, they weren't good enough, or a trail was never there.

Do we know exactly how soon the dogs were brought in?

It took them 5 days to bring in a tracker, didn't it?
The article is dated 30th September, there was also a police update published on SAPOL site on 30th Sept. @2.45pm and mentioned dog's in it, but that link now gives a 404 error.
I've attached a screenshot of some info that was obviously cut and pasted from that SAPOL update that was on another forum.

Monitor the house camera and sound. Take it out .further . Then take the monitor out further. Police won’t leave a stone unturned. I’ve done work for them. Top brass know how to at least navigate a crime.

Do we have verified confirmation that there was a form of cctv at the house?

I’d be looking weeks back and hundreds of kms radius

No.
I would involve myself if my child went missing, not go mute, silent.
Not one word from the parents, nothing
It could just be they don`t want to deal with the media especially as social media amps up everything now. They obviously like their privacy, people are different.
Being available to the media and/or making public statements in cases like missing children, children dead under suspicious circumstances etc doesn`t necessarily point to innocence or normal parental feelings for a child.
There have been cases in different countries where parent/s/relatives actively appealing for help in such a case and being available to the media were responsible for committing a crime against their own children/granchildren/nieces/nephews.

According to the DM reporter Jonica Bray, Gus’ mum, baby brother and dad left the area some time ago and their whereabouts are unknown to the people she spoke to that are allegedly friends of the dad. Dad Josh has allegedly not been seen staying at his Belalie North property since the disappearance either. But I guess a good friend wouldn’t tell a reporter too much anyway, one would hope.

Did Jonica say they left together?

Oh I know that.
Good respectable people on the outside for a lot

Scared of the partner?
Scared of losing the other child?
But If it was an accident?
Neglect?
Anger?
Grandma Josie and the mum were taken out of the picture.
I know parents would do anything for their kids
Thinking if there was terrible accident, that could have been prevented, it might be a worry. I’d imagine Dad wouldn’t take this well especially with family dynamics already. He wandered off is bad enough.

Managed to find an article re SAR dogs

Police said they are throwing everything at the search, with more than 100 personnel including officers, SES crews, volunteers, drones, helicopters, dogs, horses, police divers and aircraft scouring the vast outback property.

We’re still hopeful that we’re going to have success,” Police Commissioner Grant Stevens said.

“Our intention at the moment is to continue searching until we find Gus.”

Sniffer dogs have failed to pick up a trail, and the terrain — while seemingly open — has proven “deceptively large and challenging,” Stevens said.

Sounds pretty halfhearted , disorganised and disinterested, doesn’t it…. 🙄

People hundreds of kms away judging.

For all we know young Gus could have been moved to a new location, living his best life secretly. That’s what I am actually hoping than thinking the worst but without anything…. Will we ever know?
When the news first became public I thought this could very well be some kind of custody issue where one parent takes a child/children away from the other parent. Unlikely that`s the case here because the police would have interviewed the father, asked his wife and in-laws to rule out that possibility etc.

However, there could be a small possibility that kind of thing has happened. We don`t know whether that kind of scenario has been ruled out. Only the police investigating this case know. If that`s happened, whoever has done that should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law for wasting police time and public resources - and those are only two of the charges they`d be facing.
