Ms Tiver said she knew the Lamont family 'well' and described them as 'kind', 'gentle', 'reliable', 'trustworthy', and 'truthful'.

'They embody everything about humans that can be good,' she said.

Glad you posted this, threads like these become a cesspit when there is little information to go on.

You have to consider how far a 4YO could actually travel on foot since the time he was last seen. Then consider the physical limitations imposed by the terrain. If he wandered and got lost how far could he go before becoming exhausted, seeking shelter or water? He's unlikely to voluntarily enter a dam or body of water. I believe he was relatively familiar with the property so would probably be attracted to, or be searching for a familiar landmark. It makes no sense to head AWAY from buildings, roads, or fences. He would most likely follow a road, trail, fenceline or creek or seek shelter. This location is generally quite flat and sparse - mostly open area, with very few places he could hide or be hidden within the small radius he MIGHT have wandered. IMO he SHOULD have been located by now if he is actually there still.
IMO a 4 yo would walk away from buildings/roads etc if they were exploring etc. probably already seen everything there is to see at home… also could he possibly be neurodiverse, then anything classed as normal behaviour is out the window. He may have become hyper focused and walked a long long way on a mission, not turning back or even being concerned he was lost…

Nothing adds up
Who was the last person to see him that wasn’t a relative ?

I feel they waited a lot longer to call police in than what they are saying …
I wonder when the last dated photo of Gus was taken? In my experience family members take photos very regularly when they are looking cute or doing something interesting.

I wonder how far the dams were from the homestead and how long it might take for a four yr old to reach them?

On what basis do you state this?

“You feel……”

I’ve watched this case and it’s just so sad. They have now called off the search after 7 days! Surely they would keep looking for this dear little boys body for the families sake
Maybe the family need to hire a private investigator, if the police resources are finite. I've read they can often explore areas police are not able to.

If the child hasn’t been found by now. Surely foul play is involved or a wild dog or even a boar has taken him. It’s a sheep station so it’s very possible, wild boars kill the lambs so a small weak small child is very possible to over power and drag away.

Whatever the case is, it’s very sad for the family to be in such a horrible situation

What is the established timeline of events? I haven't seen anything published except that police commenced searching at 5pm. What time were police called?

I’m not sure if police have stated when they were called but they’ve stated that Grandma has told them that she went out to call Gus in around 5.30pm.

The fact given the station is that remote and that all they have found is 1 foot print

As someone just said , given all of this then foul play is likely the most possible outcome and given there is no people for miles you’d have to think someone in the family circle knows more then they are letting on

But there would be signs wouldn’t there ?
They have searched 500 square kilometers and found 1 foot print

Ofc there would be. A blood trail or body parts. But there isn’t….. a kid doesn’t just vanish off a remote station!

So where is he?

I know it’s wrong to speculate but nobody would know if foul play came into play except the family!

Kids have been found 2 metres into a wombat hole, inside tree trunks and under slight crevices and all these places have been missed or overlooked on numerous inspections.
Kids on the spectrum are usually found very close but totally hidden.
A couple of recent cases where major searches have been police organised and autistic Kids found within 300 metres after days.
Some police searches have amazed.
