I understand a massive property like that would probably have a lot of gates but I was referring to the idea of anybody driving in to the homestead from the main, needing to open and close six gates.

Seems inefficient.
It is inefficient, seems there is no other way to keep the paddocks separated that is not costly and efficient. or maybe that is the way it has always been done and no one has brain stormed to find a simpler solution?

My brothers place had 5 gates from the road.
Quite normal, maybe city folk don't understand the country.

Two gates I've seen but not more and I'm not city folk. True I've been on sheep stations but nothing as big as Oak Park.

I looked over that property from the homestead out last night and couldn't find one gate, unless they were invisible to my eye.

I will let my brother know that he's got 3 to many gates

Yeah when you look at the satellite image of the property it only looks like one gate which is near to the homestead to get in from the oak Park road which I’m assuming is a public road.

The point was me trying to get an idea of whether or not the person who said there were six gates to get through to access Gus at the homestead, was accurate.

The grid I could see pretty clearly from satellite imagery but no gate, I might have missed it.

I’ve only used the images I can see from google maps and it’s not super clear but there is something of an entrance/grate near the homestead but doesn’t appear to be anything directly off the main entrance road. But a property that big they may enter via numerous directions depending on where they’ve been.

Police stating they don't suspect Foul play,

“We have nothing to suggest foul play at THIS TIME, but we’re obligated to consider every possibility,” he said.

When the police have saturated the place and there is nowhere else to look. They would have to consider a third-party involvement.

Let me get this right.
Our expert SES dude said he searched the whole property and the boy is NOT there.
But police are back for another search.
And press listened to this galah
Had a chat with my SES uncle and he said while the SES folk he works with are amazing, there are many self proclaimed experts who crave the media limelight and seek opportunities like these.

I won’t judge any that devote their time though.

I don’t know what to make of this.
This is the guy discussed separately in the same media release about Gus.

So this man's erratic driving raised concerns among truck drivers on 26th and his car was found abandoned on the 27th, the same day Gus went missing.

Seems real odd. Two go missing around the same time within a two hour drive of each other, which may look like a huge distance but out there, probably is not.

*5hrs

Unless ... Gus had been missing for longer than was reported and he actually disappeared the day before.

I've been trying to work out what all the buildings on the property are and it looks like there might be two houses on it? Can anybody else tell if there is?

Yeah wirramina (where the car was found) to Yunta is 441kms

Yeh, that's a lot further and nobody can do that in a Hyundai Getz without having to think about stopping for fuel. Standard only a 45L tank.
