Yeah but we were talking about cctv around the homestead itself, not out where the sheep are, and vandalism not sheep stealing. Sure CCTV cameras on all the entrance/exit roads would make perfect sense, if they had any. It seems they didn't, or that would have been one of the first items checked by police. Because of the size and topology of the property, such CCTV would probably need to be solar powered and probably would have local storage, not networked. So it would need manual retrieval and examination. Any reports of this being done? I haven't read anything.

There could have been cctv on the front verandah showing people walking off the verandah. If there was cctv on the gates leading in to the homestead it might show that the family never left after being seen coming in.
If there was cctv at all of course.

One thing that annoys me is when a person who has some connection of a crime, cover up, incident, accident, is said to be well respected at work, sport, church, personal life, from a loving home, social status.
Does that make someone less inclined to do any wrong? It's all about their headspace at the time to me.

Crime doesn't discriminate.
We would all have read cases in here from all walks of life that proves that.

As for this case, I feel like there is tip toeing and I'm not sure why that is.
It could just be the media getting inside my head.
Doesn't help with the Police media where the narrative is he wandered at the same time saying Gus is not on the property.
If he wandered off the property then why the delay with the release of a photo? If he went off that property then Gus is literally in a public space.
Also the fact the Murray family want to deal with Gus's disappearance by themselves is so strange, actually a bit disturbing when it comes to a missing 4 year old. This is IMO.

I suprised a fellow bigfooty member the other week when he mentioned where he was and I told him there was a nudist camp nearby. You wouldn’t believe this nudist camp called Pilwarren is in such a remote place in the Murraylands. I’m sure he went past for a look once I told him about it.

I did look that place up and I wish I hadn't. There are 3 other 'resorts' which were suggested on Google with my search.

Haha, yeah not sure I’d be comfortable bringing kids to a nudist resort. Last I heard was that Pilwarren is no longer being used.

He could still wander off without going near any CCTV cameras. But I was thinking more to account for any vehicles captured entering or leaving the property. It's probably moot because it appears they didn't have any such devices - at least we haven't heard about any.

You’d think if they had cctv and were looking at vehicles especially if it wasn’t a known vehicle they would have announced it on the news. There’s just very little information we’re being fed and it could simply be because he has vanished without a trace.

The only other case I can find in South Australia is the Beaumont kids back in 1966. But they didn't "wander off" - they set of to the beach together and never returned. No trace was ever found, but police identified a prime suspect.

The other comparable case in Australia is that of William Tyrrell. But his foster carers are adamant he did not wander off but was "taken". Regardless, there is no trace of him either after 11 years.

One could say, in Australia, kids do not just "wander off and disappear without a trace". Just doesn't happen.

If you’re on Facebook, do a search for a guy called Brian Littley. He’s researching and looking for the bodies of Gordon and Radcliffe who disappeared from Adelaide oval in the 70’s. I think nudists/ naturalists, haha, should have an age requirement of 18 or older to enter and/or stay.
If one of the common questions that gets asked is 'what if you get an erection?'(this is on all the sites I looked at) then I dont think that is a place for minors to be holidaying at
