Maybe the other child would be safer in town when they get as mobile as Gus.It’s a very remote area, appealing to the public isn’t really a consideration I wouldn’t have thought unless there was real evidence of an abduction.

A missing child is everyone's business regardless of how private families want to be.Yes the silence on this is deafening. Cops are digging now imo.
Exactly.. think about Fred and rosemary WestA missing child is everyone's business regardless of how private families want to be.

Yes, if someone knows something even go to crime stoppers anonymously. They shouldn't let a concern slide, thinking that if it was important someone else would have brought it up. Even one jigsaw piece can alter the perception of a puzzle. The SA police also encouraged members of the public with factual concerns (real facts , not opinions) to contact them directly or through crime stoppers. So sharing is the best course of action. Children's safely is everyone's business. I hope no-one is holding information waiting for a reward offer. I've read that sometimes happens.Define “everyone’s business”
Is that in regards to sharing of information?

What's the difference, and when does it become one?And this is not a Tyrell or West case. Not now.
IMO there is a dearth of information available about the players (people around e.g. family, workers, friends, helpers) in Gus's case. In the William Tyrrell case we had a lot more information about lots of people. There is no evidence of anything except he's nowhere to be found. Radio silence everywhere. Going to take a break for a week! Happy sleuthing. What's the difference, and when does it become one?
Zero factual evidence in either case IMO.IMO there is a dearth of information available about the players (people around e.g. family, workers, friends, helpers) in Gus's case. All quiet on the western front , seems everyone has lost the appetiteZero factual evidence in either case IMO.
Sound doesn't travel in a vacuum. All quiet on the western front , seems everyone has lost the appetite
Still waiting/hoping for some new information and hoping they can find Gus.All quiet on the western front , seems everyone has lost the appetite
Yeah I posted this awhile ago from an article I read. Some snippets of information coming through in this article:

GUS LAMONT SEARCH: Indigenous tracker and former detective share theories
As SA Police continue investigating the disappearance of Gus Lamont, experts are sharing their thoughts on the case.www.nowtolove.com.au
Gus was last seen playing on a dirt mount near the house on the evening of September 27 by his grandmother Shannon. At the time she was also watching Gus’s little brother Ronnie, one, while Gus’s mother and other grandparent tended to their sheep about ten kilometres away.Shannon realised Gus was missing thirty minutes later and the family began frantically searching the 60,000-hectare property for three hours before reporting him missing to the police.I hadn't read about the mother and other grandparent being 10km away before.
Of course, this is all still narrative, not proven fact.
Yep as stated by a few it’s the public interest when child goes missingYeah I posted this awhile ago from an article I read.
Could be suspicious or it could be the reason why he’s gone missing with no one watching him directly.
All I can work out is that from Yunta the main way to the station would be to go down the Barrier Highway turn onto Sturtvale Rd then onto Oakpark road. I think. Is there other back roads to/from the highway or in between properties?I’m still trying to work out where the gates are.
Is there only one gate leading into the property off a road that’s shared with other station owners and how far is it from the homestead to the road?
Hmm, 'The Family began searching'.Some snippets of information coming through in this article:

If Grandma Shannon went to call Gus in for dinner at 5.30 would that mean Grandma Josie and Gus's mum would have been on their way home for dinner at 5.30?Hmm, 'The Family began searching'.
So Grandma Shannon is home with a 1yo and a 4yo.
The 4yo is out playing in the dirt for 30 minutes before being noticed missing.
Mum and a 2nd Grandparent are 10km away tending sheep.
This all takes place around 5pm pre daylight savings time, so dusk is approaching.
At this point, Grandma Shannon wouldn't be considering that Gus would still be missing a month later, so I imagine she goes looking close by initially by herself. You would be calling people back from 10km away initially as Gus may be close by.
So I wonder wether they were summonsed back after a failed initial search or did they arrive back during the initial search by Grandma Shannon?
How long after Gus was discovered missing did the 'Family' which I assume includes Mum and Grandparent 2, actually start searching?

Are they actual gates or grids and gates (ie grids for vehicles)?I wonder how old / mobile / agile GM Shannon is, how acute her eyesight is, and in particular, her hearing?
How far away from Gus was she whilst she monitored Ronnie?
Did mum and GP No. 2 use the main access in / out of the property, and if so, how did they not see / hear any intruder, or were they out in the paddocks well away from the access road?
Did they use that road to return, or did they return cross country?
I'm thinking an intruder wouldn't have stopped to close the gates as they fled because time would've been of the essence to them, and if so, you'd think mum and GP No. 2 would've found the open gates and been troubled.....if they returned via that route.
