Was it the Jetstar pilot who killed the two campers?I can't remember which case it was, but recently the police bugged a house while 3 residents were sleeping.
They have the means.

Yes it was! That was during Covid, wasn’t it?It was the Greg Lynn case, they bugged his house while they were all sleeping.
I think what the police say to the public and what gets said behind closed doors are two different matters and I think there has been many cases where surveillance of some sort has been used by police, including bugging .True they bugged Lynn's house and car, but most of the recordings were ruled inadmissible and none of the covert surveillance was ever heard by the jury. The surveillance did increase confidence that police had their man, but he was already the prime suspect. He was convicted on forensic evidence (ballistics and bone fragments) and his own admissions to burning the bodies and destroying the campsite.
It would be pretty hard in this case for the cops to go before a judge asking for a court order for covert surveillance while they publicly maintain there is no evidence of foul play. This would be purely speculative and any far, right-minded judge would send them packing. In order to get a surveillance order they would need to show good reason, meaning some evidence implicating the family.
I keep saying the police could interview Josh, Jess, Josie or Shannon for free.
It doesn’t have to cost anything to ask Josh for an alibi, for example.
Why don’t they do the cost effective policing first before throwing millions of dollars draining dams and going down shafts?
IMO

I read about this ABC radio show someone listened to last night and posted a link on another forum. At about 3:15:00 on the timer a guy named Bob calls into the show during a quiz, explains he’s from Adelaide and heading to Yunta in the morning, which would have been today 28 November and says roughly the following …
“I’m trying to recruit an army of volunteers to go and help look for a lost boy. His name is Gus Lamont and there’s only 2 people looking for him, that’s me and a lady called Fleur. It’s been in the news, he’s from a sheep station up near Yunta which is on the border of NSW and SA. I’m sure lots of your listeners have been hearing, nobody’s been up there looking for him, he’s been lost for a while now but he’s alive. I know he’s alive, Fleur knows he’s alive and we need people to look for him cause no one is looking.”
Bob then gets politely cut off and that’s it.
So yep, don’t know if Bob and Fleur got any volunteers but I would suggest wearing a bullet proof vest, IMO

Has it been said what time Josie and Jess said they left to go tend to the sheep and when they returned to the homestead?
MmmmmGo Bob, go Fleur

To be honest I can’t really get my head around Bob’s claim that he and Fleur believe Gus is alive. Aren’t they highly educated people? But hey good for them, that would be incredible. I also thought it was strange that he said nobody is looking for Gus. Who is he referring to? If he lives in Adelaide how would he know what’s going on at Oak Park Station? Did he get permission from the Murray’s to put out a public plea for volunteers to rock up there with him and Fleur?Gave your post a like but also wanted to give you a laugh.
If they think he's alive then they must think someone from the area has him hidden, but who?
Gus definitely can't still be 'wandering' after all this time by himself.
If Fleur thinks so highly of the grandmas then who else is she thinking might have him?
Fair enough. We probably shouldn't take anything the police say publicly as fact then. How are we supposed to know when they are being open and honest, and when they are deliberately misdirecting for strategic reasons?I think what the police say to the public and what gets said behind closed doors are two different matters and I think there has been many cases where surveillance of some sort has been used by police, including bugging .
No I can't get my head around it either especially when Fleur was so adamant here not for people to just turn up. But now her friend has put a call out for volunteers to help.To be honest I can’t really get my head around Bob’s claim that he and Fleur believe Gus is alive. Aren’t they highly educated people? History would predict strangers are not welcome. I have so many questions. The Twilight Zone theme song is playing on repeat in my head with this one. IMO
If I had dollar for every time I hear 6, 7 in a day I could retire at the end of the school term.Probably around 6, 7?

I'll still say the place is weird and the Twilight Zone suitsTo be honest I can’t really get my head around Bob’s claim that he and Fleur believe Gus is alive. Aren’t they highly educated people? History would predict strangers are not welcome. Oh but I guess Fleur isn’t a stranger but she sleeps in a swag when out there so not really a ‘stay at your house friend’ either. I have so many questions. The Twilight Zone theme song is playing on repeat in my head with this one.
I have my own theory and I am not saying it, I'm waiting for what the police will say next. We're not, thats the point.
If they came out and said, the next sentence we make is for strategic purposes, it wouldn't really be very strategic would it.
You have to read between the lines to see what they're actually saying and quite often, like evidence itself, its whats not being said or not present, that is key.
Would love to know how they were received yesterday and if Fleur still has the same opinions of the family after 2 months. No I can't get my head around it either especially when Fleur was so adamant here not for people to just turn up. But now her friend has put a call out for volunteers to help.
Yep not sure how they think he is still alive after all this time....maybe 1 screw short like Josie.

I think what she really means is that the DM is pissed that Police didn't immediately release the history of the trans grandmother. They are still out there trying to make something of that. Just gutter journalism.Interesting that Candace says The sole photo of missing Gus Lamont was not released until days after he vanished, and his family background was suppressed.
I didn't know Gus's family background was suppressed. Seems to be all over the media who they are.
To believe that they would have to be into some heavy duty conspiracy stuff. But my experience is most of the locals in very remote areas like this are "quirked". And most of them have a few roos loose in the top paddock.Yep not sure how they think he is still alive after all this time....maybe 1 screw short like Josie.
Or perhaps desperately trying to separate fact from bullshit?where posters are desperately trying to make a conspiracy from a tragic accident.
I don’t know if this is what daily mail mean about a suppression but I’d think that journalists would have more knowledge about gender identity and labelling. It seems some do. Josie and any other people in the family are either good people or not whatever they identify as.I think what she really means is that the DM is pissed that Police didn't immediately release the history of the trans grandmother. I believe it is, as the SAPOL have many times stated, a tragic case of misadventure. The country out there is anything but flat and it would take years to search thoroughly. He has wandered off and perished, and the body has not yet been found.Or perhaps desperately trying to separate fact from bullshit?
I think you are giving the DM much to much credit. They will do anything for a headline, the more click-bait it is the better. Do you notice that DM has been the only media emphasising this aspect of Gus' family life?I don’t know if this is what daily mail mean about a suppression but I’d think that journalists would have more knowledge about gender identity and labelling. Time will tell.
