OK, talk about getting carried away with one good win but I just can't help myself.

Our next 4 games are:

Essendon (AAMI)
Collingwood (TD)
Hawthorn (MCG)
Carlton (AAMI)

Essendon this Friday is a real test, perhpas even more so than the Showdown we just won. The team had a lot of pride to play for after 7 straight losses, it would not have taken much to get them fired up against Port. Now it's up to the team to keep up the intensity and win twice in a row against top 4 contenders.

Unless Collingwood and Hawthorn have dramatic form reversals, we should be able to beat them, especially Pies without Buckley.

Carlton at home won't be anywhere near as easy as it would have been the last 2 years but we should still beat them.

That would take us to 6-5 with a trip to Perth ahead of us against a (hopefully still) struggling WC.

NO, NO, NO!

We have won 1 game in a row, so don't start making bold predictions on that basis. Let's just take it 1 game at a time & not get ahead of ourselves!

I wouldn't get too carried away. I reckon we'll beat Essendon, but not Collingwood over there, regardless of their current crap form.

Another crunch game against Essendon this week. Lose & we are back in real strife again like we were this time last week. Must string a few wins together & we should be looking to win at least 3 out of the next 4 games.

I hope to God our playes aren't thinking about 5 in a row

Essendon will smash us if they are.
I was seriously thinking of deleting it when I saw it, but then thought it would be an abuse of power.

You gotta have faith guys!
Don't worry, I still have the faith, jsut not getting overconfident based on 1 game. You remember what happened after "we won't lose a game" thread last year... ie. No jinxes please.

I was just going to say the same thing. After last year and the we will have 22 wins after Rd 22 thread these sort of threads don't really it well with the board. Needless to say we got beaten by St. Kilda the following week.

I know its a cliche but they are called cliches because they are true. Take it one week at a time and focus 100% on Essendon on friday night.

I couldn't go to Showdown y'day so am hungry to see my first live Crows win for the year.

Just as well didn't start a thread saying I thought we could win 9 in a row.

Yeah, that could constitute a banning from this board! ;) :p

Does anyone know how many games Essendon have won at footy park? I know it's close to f*** all, not sure how close though.

we should be ok if we apply ourselves.

Not a lot. I think the last time they won was in 2000 when they were an awsome side. You know what they said, the more games you lose in a row the closer you are to a win. Essendon should never be underestimated especially since they are at full strength and playing some top footy.

Weather forecast is for some showers so I hope its bucketing down. Bombers are crap in wet conditions.

Hird is in career best form.

Essendon v Adelaide at Football Park: 2 wins, 7 losses
Essendon overall at Football Park: 4 wins, 12 losses (including losing the last six, two of which were finals)

Mind you that's still better than...

Adelaide v Essendon in Melbourne: 0 wins, 10 losses :(
