5 Year Plan

I have been listening to Dean Bailey & he has made it clear he is looking to the future with a youth policy in mind but the last thing I want to hear from him is the Terry Wallace "5 year plan" theory.

What are you thoughts on the direction he seems to be taking & where will it lead?

My impression of Bailey's intentions is to follow a youth policy, and win.
Both of these points differ from Wallace, who follows no policy, and loses.

I think a 'Five year plan' would contravene the much-publicised Bailey slogan of 'not setting limits on players or the club' - sating "this is what we're going to do over five years" is to discount the possibility that we might do a whole lot more. :thumbsu:

correct weight... while they talk about not targeting any recruits under the age of 23, we constantly hear not setting goals or expecations for players, as once they reach those targets, they can plateu out... bailey seems to look toward the next goal...

justin westhoff is a good example at port... a kid who was drafted at pick 73, was developed into a key position player who became an important part of their forward line...

instead of giving our kids 5 years to come good, he will be looking to develop them now, so they're good now and even better in 5 years...
