Quite a while back we surpassed the 50,000 post mark.

Out of the established clubs we have the second lowest thread count and the lowest post count.

We all know that this is at least in part due to the excellent quality and popularity of Saintsational.

Our post rate is climbing and we can be proud of the contribution our fans are making to this forum and throughout BigFooty on behalf of the Saints.

I hate Carlton supporters almost as much as I hate Carlton. In general they have a chip on their shoulder and when they mention our club - it is usually in a derogatory manner.

I noticed this post on the Gold Coast board.

I would love to shove it up them re: poster contribution, but as a moderator I try to keep it nice.
 
There are some great contributors on SS, with some people very well informed about all things Saints, but about 40% of the threads are about as high quality as "I had vegemite toast for breakfast - what did you have?" or deteriorate into an argument within 10 posts. Mind you, if you feel like posting something inflamatory or irrational, feel free to log on to SS where you will feel quite at home.

Solution to our problem: We need a roomies thread. Me, Saintergirl, 2 other female sainters and a couple of gay guys to chat about the 'hawtness' of our club.

Can't stand that place. I applaud the admin for starting up such a popular domain and getting the st.kilda football club to post on there but geez that place is unbearable. As that's been said every second thread turns into an argument between established posters with 'cred'/who are 'popular' and posters who aren't generally liked, or opinions aren't appreciated.
Then we click on next thread, 'hAAppi BiRFdaeee ToMm sImpKIN!!!'
Then there's another thread where you read the most pointless infomation, then you realise you wasted 20seconds of your life reading that.
And there's no chance we'll pull some posters from SS to join Bigfooty. It's basically practiced religion that BigFooty is the root of all evil.

Hey, but who are we to dig the boots in?

Question, how bad was this place years ago?
 
Whilst I have regularly have trouble playing the vids on SC, the club is putting some effort into the site :

"Sorry it's taken a couple of weeks for me to get back to you! We're actually trying to execute most of our communication via Saints Central, so we'll limit our correspondance via other forums at this stage. SM"
 
Certainly got very quiet over the start of the pre-season but things have picked up again now.

Hopefully it continues through out the year.

I think we need to have a Round by Round thread that gets posted on Monday where we discuss everything about the upcoming game, selection, who needs to do what, match ups etc. I personally think if this happened that thread would get about 150 posts per thread.

And maybe someone who has time/can be ****ed should do a write up about the upcoming game.
 
Never been to SS, perfer not to given the negative cred and thread degradation considering I even got a blasting on Saints central because non members should "eff off" from the site according to some members that I took issue with.

Quite like it here because I haven't been told where to shove it yet. :D

On SaintsMedia, I've been trying to push him to create a duplicate of the video releases on his youtube account, but for some reason he seems unwilling to do it, might be heavy handed tactics from Telstra since the whole contractual agreement might lead to some manner of "use our player and only our player or we sue for breach of contract" afterall they did supposedly threaten the Hun superfooty site because users were posting copyrighted images without permission, so I wouldn't put it past them.
 
I thought the whole point of creating a tear away site was to get away from the telstra network. Obviously it didn't work. FAIL.

That is a god awful site loaded up on adverts and images.

I prefer the look of the SC site, it's just their associatin with telstra as far as content goes that is rather dumbfounding considering the thing only works in IE.

Isn't every site bombarded with ads? Even this one?
Training footage, it might be pointless, but at least they went out of their way posted it. Would love to see something like that on SC but no one would be able to watch it.
Seems they've forgotten about the site.
In the time since the last article was posted, 6 have gone up on saints.com.au.
It's hardly ever updated, the videos don't work, only a minority of people are equipped with Bigpond & Internet Explorer to watch these 'exclusive' videos.
It's still connected to the telstra network, even though the new board said it wouldn't.
It's a dump.
I don't even bother going on anymore, because i can just read SaintsMedia's post on SS. Poor site mangement Imo.
 
In many ways this board dominates every other team board on bigfooty, in that just about every single regular poster is a gun poster, or at least has a good idea what they are on about.

The amount of ridiculously shit posters and threads on the most popular boards makes for some atrocious reading (same could be said for saintsational, which I mostly just browse rarely post on), so I like it this way. Like sainter girl said, quality over quantity.

I've ad blocked most advert sites as well as disallowed javascript and flash purely as a performance thing so that I don;t get scripts that hang when loading adverts and random flash overlays without my manual approval. So in that regard since I used base privileges for both the Essendon and SC site the essendon site has a but load more blockable elements as far as images go.

Anything implying that Hodge or Franklin are not omnipotent beings that we all need to worship should suffice.
 
Excellent site that seems to be picking up interest rapidly.Room for plenty of robust debate without posters claimig seniority or the moral high ground.Keep up the good work people.
Saints are the best!
