Will we actually get a decent crowd this week for Roo's last FP appearance?

Surely theres no reason at all why we cant pull 48-50,000 for this game.

Surely.....

I doubt there will be many more than 45K.

There seems to be an ongoing issue with the way the ground is ticketed.....and in fairness it affects the swampees as much as it affects us.

Time for the SANFL to restructure their catagories so we can drop the "Footy Fans" off and get more AFC fans to the game.

45 max.

Especially considering Liverpool are on at 9:30 :p

Ive been disappointed with the ''official figures'' and hope it is a ticketing issue, I noticed the gate in front of the section 133 area were done by hand held scanners...surely they cant be counting?

If its not then I am disappointed in those who dont turn up... I know most have lives but gees

I think they do count, as far as i know once its scanned its on the record.

I still think the official figures mislead though. A full looking Crows stadium and a completely empty Port Stadium seem to get alot closer in the 'official figures' than makes sense.

Really hope we can break 50,000 and if ever we were going to do it this is the week! No excuses people, I have two other things on and Im still going! BE THERE

There should be at least 45,000. All year we've had crowds around 41-43,000, though at times the stadium has looked much fuller. Some people have mentioned problems with the ticket scanners, but you would hope that has been sorted out by now.

There may actually be 50,000 people attend the game but the SANFL will only release a figure in the area of 42 – 43, 000.

In the early days the SANFL used to regularly drop 15% of the total attendance figure. Just as they now add 15% to the power total attendance figures.

You're right.

I couldn't believe believe only 41K+ there last week. Now way could you fit another 10k in there.

These figures are a joke.

I can only speak for myself here, but on occasions when I haven't been able to go and I've tried to palm my ticket off to mates the option is rarely taken up cause it's just one ticket.

Even if they've got matchday tickets or season tickets elsewhere and would like to bring another friend along, it's a bit naff leaving that one bloke/girl by themselves etc so the option isn't taken up.

Sure there'd be families/groups who all choose not to go for various reasons/prior commitments (hence the total 5-10k no-shows), but I'm sure I'm not the only one in this situ.

Will be about 47K...although I was shocked that it was only 41k there last week. There were maybe two small areas of about 200 seats that looked empty from where I could see. Also the standing area behind the alst row of seats was two to three people deep. 41k is b/s. It is the most people I have seen at the ground half an hour before hand. For Roos lap.

I think the only reason we dont get 50K crowds is the Port cat 1 members. Resell their tickets and we would regularly have 49k at least..

Anyway I dont care who is not there. Those that are there will be set for a memorable night.

I am in a wedding on saturday so i can't make it

Wish i could... am really bummed i'm going to miss Roo's last home match!!

maybe its all just perception but i would bet my house on it - i am convinced that either or both, most of the AFC crowd figures are understated and/or Port power figures overstated. The disparity in the crowds is far bigger than the figures show
